08/11/2024: Great restaurant, we tried out the Innovation and the Vegetarian Innovation gourmet menus. They were fantastic, so you should try it.

07/11/2024: We loved the advertisement on the street showing the cocktail bar overlooking the sea. So we decided to pop in and were shown to a well placed table however the waitress then left us without clearing the table from the previous guests. We moved the items to another table. It then took a good 15 minutes before we were asked what we would like. We asked for some nuts with our cocktails. Eventually small uninspiring cocktails arrived and beside it 3 peanuts in their shells!!!! We didn't see any other staff members to ask for the bill and it wasn't until we decided to go to the bar to pay did anyone materialize. A really bad experience. Sadly we will not return.

28/03/2024: Se você adora comida deliciosa e é vegano, então este é o lugar para você. Visitamos o café três vezes e sempre foi ótimo! As especialidades diárias são diferentes todos os dias. Gostei muito das almôndegas com purê de batata, do wrap de falafel, da panna cotta e das sobremesas brownie. Sucos frescos. A equipe é super positiva e amigável. O local fica em uma rua aconchegante e tranquila, há mesas dentro e fora do café. Quero voltar aqui novamente!!! 🫶em você

05/10/2024: We hebben een fantastische avond gehad in dit restaurant. Op de reservering werd zeer snel en vriendelijk gereageerd. Zo was ook de ontvangst door Silvia zeer vriendelijk en warm. Dit geldt ook voor haar personeel. We hebben heerlijk gegeten en naar hele mooie fado muziek geluisterd. Een aanrader om naar dit restaurant te gaan als je in Funchal bent.

04/10/2024: Wat een ervaring !! Gereserveerd in NL , er werd meteen gereageerd via mail dat de reservering stond. Een warme avond met vermaak, meteen fijne sfeer door de gastvrouw. Prachtige muziek vertolkt door het personeel en andere gastoptredens. Wat een samenwerking, passie en oog voor detail. Een onvergetelijke avond !! Er werd tevens gevierdd dat ze 4.5 ster hadden verdiend Voor ons de 5e ster zeker verdiend !! Ronald en Adri

18/11/2024: Had a fabulous meal in Franco's corner. Food and service was excellent.Would highly recommend a visit here. Tried the green wine for the first time, it was lovely.

16/11/2024: It's always fabulous to go back to Franco's. Great food, great wine and great service in a lovely environment. The garlic prawns are always delicious and it's always difficult to pick our favourite main. Dessert has to be a chocolate duo.

24/10/2024: A comida é gostosa, e em general, o nosso visita foi muito boa. Os empregados da mesa são muito cuidadosos, e eu gostava de selecção das bebidas.

22/10/2024: Foi um spectaclo! O frango piripiri, chamouça, lulas, caril de peixe, caril de frango com amendoims e muito mais. Foi tudo excellente !!!! Há tanta coisa para provar que não posse esperar para voltar para experimentar mais pratos com a minha família. o patrão é super simpático, as crianças tiveram uma noite fantástica e divertiram-se imenso. O patrão disse-nos também qual o prato ideal para crianças.

27/10/2024: Très bonne poncha et bonne ambiance le soir ! Dommage qu’il n’y ai pas plus de places assises… attention aussi au quartier, pas bien fréquenté quand on rentre un peu tard le soir.

27/10/2024: Wow, I'm not a big fan of Indian food, I just can't take anything spicy but want to keep trying, so if you had told me before I came on holiday that I would be saying this is one of the best places we had eaten,I would have laughed hysterically. It's a must go. They spice to your preference. I had butter chicken. Poppadoms and chutneys bought to your table while you wait for your meal. Hubby had Rogan Josh and loved that too. It was busy but waiters were attentive despite this. Loved,loved, loved it

16/10/2024: Sorry I don’t share the opinions of recent reviewers. I thought this was distinctly average, from an indifferent welcome, to a pretty poor choice of courtyard tables, to some pretty average food and wine. So if you want something average and reasonably priced, near the cruise terminal and marina, this fits the bill. If you want classy, fine dining, keep looking!

15/10/2024: This has now become my very favourite restaurant in Funchal, and many other people's too. In spite of being quite large, it is usually quite full, so it's best to book your table. Everything here is really fresh,as all ingredients are very carefully selected daily by the owner, whilst the cooking and artistic presentation of each dish, resembles the original paintings which adorn the restaurant's walls. Service by the attentive staff is elegant and extremely stylish. The waterfront location, being immediately opposite the Marina, makes it both easy to find, but also very memorable.There's an exceptional wine list, but in truth, the carefully sourced red and white Douro house wine, is a joy to compliment one's meal with. The final bonus is the bill at the meal's end. This represents astonishingly good value, for dining at this exceptional level.

02/10/2024: We really enjoyed our sandwiches & juice. Fresh & high quality ingredients used - very tasty bread, avocado, salmon, hummus, tomatoes, passion fruit & herbs. Probably the best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! Not only did we thoroughly enjoy the food, but the ‘Vantastic’ experience was fab too. Entertaining & funny stories from Ruben, along with interesting information about the food. Highly recommend a visit! Thank-you! Tara & Terry :-)
