21/10/2024: What a fantastic meal! We had a set meal which included several courses and wine pairing. The food was delicious and really well prepared and the atmosphere was lovely. As were the owners. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

26/10/2024: Wow, what a great place. I was with my son looking for a final place to eat in Madeira before taking back our plane. Actually, the owner inform me that it was close that night for a special event. You know what...they invited us to eat!. We had the restaurant just for us. That so sweet from that lovely couple. We were feeling very special. The steak and octopus was "succulent"! Nice conversation, nice conversation. I recommend

05/09/2024: Uau O restaurante é pequeno e modesto, mas verdadeiramente incrível. É super limpo e muito bonito. O serviço é realmente incrível. Você se sente muito bem cuidado. O sushi é incrivelmente delicioso! Tem um sabor muito, muito fresco e sabores extremamente excelentes. Também há muito sushi vegano Os preços são mais do que razoáveis.

08/07/2024: The perfect local Madeira restaurant! Excellent home-cooked food, lively atmosphere, and wonderfully friendly staff. Amazing place. The choice of food is on the specials board, but it is honest, delicious, very affordably priced home-cooked food. A real taste of Portugal. Thank you Gabriela for the great service and travel advice both times we ate there.

28/09/2024: If you want 5* dining then this is it. I was a bit apprehensive about booking this restaurant as l've visited in previous year by s but under the name of Cris'. Apparently they've been taken over and recently changed names to Legacy lounge. I wasn't sure what to expect as in previous visits to Madeira we always went to Cris' and it was very good. I was pleasantly surprised as nothing seems to have changed except the name. They have a very good menu (and believe me l'm not an easy customer as I'm not a big meat eater) They also have a set price of €55 for a 3 course meal with house wine and extras in between courses finished off with a complementary sweet wine, if you don't want wine as I didn't you just pay for the food you eat. The service was excelen too. Would highly recommend.

26/09/2024: We had the concept menu and paid extra for beef wellington. I had the seafood trilogy, which was delicious, fillet steak, which was slightly over seasoned when you also add the peppered sauce and the red berry crumble for desert. My husband had the ravioli to start, Beef wellington for main… which he said was excellent and a lemon meringue pie for desert. We also had a welcome Prosecco, an amuse buche and a lemon sorbet before our mains. Red and white wine ( it wasn’t the greatest… but ok with food) coffee and a Madeira wine included in the price of 55euros each. Thought this was really good value and good quality food for the price. I couldn’t eat this much every night, but as a treat, a really nice idea. Food was presented well and the staff were all lovely. Modern looking restaurant with a great view from the terrace. Throughly enjoyed our evening here.

24/10/2024: We had a good experience here many years ago and decided to try it again as a Madeiran Menu was on offer at a reasonable price. Our tomato soup with egg was so tasty and absolutely delicious, followed by scabbard fish with banana (didn't think the flavours would mix, but I was wrong) and then passionfruit ice cream which was handmade by the waiter (we were sat outside and we could view the process through the window). The waiter was a delightful, helpful young guy but I didn't get his name - well done anyway!

20/10/2024: Le restaurant reflète parfaitement sa devise : 'Le luxe, c'est de se faire plaisir avec des choses simples'. Chaque plat est préparé minute avec des produits frais, et la présentation dans une vaisselle soignée ajoute une touche élégante. Le personnel est d'une grande amabilité, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent, et la magnifique fresque en salle ajoute un charme unique à l'endroit. Pour couronner le tout, la terrasse offre une vue splendide sur les majestueux jacarandas aux teintes bleutées. Un endroit à découvrir sans hésitation !

12/10/2024: Wir haben beide jeweils eines der Menus gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Portionen stimmen und alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und kompetent. Das Preis-Leistunsverhältnis ist unschlagbar. Entweder früh kommen oder reservieren!

12/10/2024: Nice quiet restaurant, good service and great food. Lovely tomato soup, a mango sorbet, steak dianne and fresh pineapple to finish the meal, washed down with red wine. I’d give it a 4.5 if possible but could not leave a rating of 4 as I don’t feel that would be fair. Not outstanding but this is rare and we’ll definitely be going back so I’d recommend you try it out.

04/04/2024: Momento magnífico, voltamos no dia seguinte para comer peixes, pratos típicos e excelentes à base de carne Garçonete gentil e atenciosa Vinho tinto super bom do restaurante sabendo que somos franceses Custo benefício muito satisfatório Aperitivo - prato principal - sobremesa - vinho tinto - pão de alho, tudo por 2 = 50€

17/02/2024: Sopas como caseiras, atendimento muito simpático. Comida muito boa. Pode não impressionar à primeira vista, mas vale muito a pena vir comê-lo. Entre as 16h00 e as 18h00 estão disponíveis sopas e sanduíches, mas muito boas. Mousse de chocolate de primeira qualidade, sobremesas caseiras também.

04/04/2024: O melhor local para comer espetada e comida tradicional madeirense. Administrado por proprietários próprios e o melhor de tudo, um recanto venezuelano na rota do Curral da Frereiras, recomendado para ir com a família. Chegue na hora certa porque às vezes não há onde sentar.

15/10/2024: A favourite spot whilst we’ve holidayed in Funchal over many years . Warm welcome and a good mix of local folk and tourists . Downstairs is the fish restaurant and upstairs meat - but if your party have mixed choices there is no problem with seating . Superb Argentinian style steak on a stone ….large portions but great quality food .

05/07/2024: Este es un encantador bar y bistró en los terrenos del hotel Quinta the Casa Branca. La vista a través de los jardines es atractiva. La comida era generalmente bastante buena. No es barato, pero la relación calidad-precio es decente. Nos cobraron mucho más por el vino - y cuando lo desafiamos nos dijeron que era “un error informático” - ¡así que revise su factura cuidadosamente!
