09/07/2024: Went to this restaurant/bar one Tuesday morning,the weather was glorious so we sat outside we only had two coffees and they were delicious and reasonably priced and the young waiter who served us couldn’t have been more friendly think his name was Emanuel.will definitely visit again next time in Madeira.

06/10/2024: We arrived late from our flight, we knew that this restaurant has an amazing reputation. Despite they were obviously ready to close their doors , we were welcomed in, they prepared the most amazing Chicken Fajitas and a wonderful steak cooked on a stone. My partner said it was the best steak she’d ever tasted. (It was delicious)
This restaurant is a one where you simply come for the best food and service.
04/10/2024: Hervorragendes Essen. In diesem Urlaub zwei Mal dort gewesen und bei bisherigen Besuchen auf Madeira ebenfalls. Der Service stimmt ebenfalls. Es wird sich gekümmert und erklärt. Und falls mal etwas nicht passt, wie der Einzelfall bei uns, wird eine Service-Leistung angeboten, an die wir uns noch lange erinnern werden. Sehr empfehlenswert.

27/10/2024: Stopped by for dinner whilst in the area. Service was 10/10 and food was also 10/10. Lovely restaurant with big portions and great price.
26/10/2024: Wow, what a great place. I was with my son looking for a final place to eat in Madeira before taking back our plane. Actually, the owner inform me that it was close that night for a special event. You know what...they invited us to eat!. We had the restaurant just for us. That so sweet from that lovely couple. We were feeling very special. The steak and octopus was "succulent"! Nice conversation, nice conversation. I recommend

12/10/2024: Nice quiet restaurant, good service and great food. Lovely tomato soup, a mango sorbet, steak dianne and fresh pineapple to finish the meal, washed down with red wine.
I’d give it a 4.5 if possible but could not leave a rating of 4 as I don’t feel that would be fair. Not outstanding but this is rare and we’ll definitely be going back so I’d recommend you try it out.
12/10/2024: Wir haben beide jeweils eines der Menus gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Portionen stimmen und alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt.
Die Bedienungen sind freundlich und kompetent. Das Preis-Leistunsverhältnis ist unschlagbar.
Entweder früh kommen oder reservieren!

11/02/2024: O melhor snack-bar nas nossas férias na Madeira. Por acaso parámos aqui para tomar um café depois do nascer do sol no Pico do Arieiro. O café estava muito saboroso, a vista sobre o Funchal era muito impressionante e o proprietário era muito simpático e divertido. E escandalosamente barato.
Se viajarmos novamente para a Madeira, voltaremos.

The Rose Garden

12/09/2024: Had dinner twice at the Rose Garden. While I still prefer the former buffet service I am clearly in a minority as the revamped Rose Garden with a choice from the menu is incredibly popular. Food is excellent and service very good. Definitely more of a restaurant for residents of the Cliff Bay hotel rather than holiday makers that call in from the street. Booking is pretty much essential - even for hotel residents.
08/09/2024: We dined at the rose garden during a stay at the Cliff Bay Hotel. We sat outside and enjoyed a really lovely 3 course menu. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has been re decorated which makes it extra special and relaxing. Well worth a visit.

Às vezes você faz fila para conseguir uma mesa, mas vale a pena esperar.

27/09/2024: The location is unspectacular, and the restrooms are very clean.
Our order was noted after a while, bc it is busy during lunchtime.
The nicely spiced fried rabbit pieces where served with french fries.
But only the fries. Nothing else.
While the rabbit took the sahara route, the flabby fries had a bath in cold oil, which still dropped generously. For a
kind of prato do dia, the quality does not meet the prices. In our case. 1/2 rabbit + fries 25.-
All in all, its a hidden and at noon, a good visited place in a quiet area, has friendly service, and the coffee is very good.
