14/09/2024: Great option for an alternative to most beachside restaurants, with an imaginative menu focused on a limited range of fish/shellfish, plus a couple of meat options, with a fusion of local and oriental preparation and flavours.
Great location just above the beach, efficient staff. It’s not inexpensive, a couvert of bread, butter and olives (sufficient for at least two in reality) for over €6 and mains between €20-30 per person, was probably justified.
We marked it down only for the very basic, and somewhat uncomfortable, bench seating.

Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
30/09/2024: My husband and I visited Vistas for my birthday whilst on holiday in Portugal. The service and food was excellent, we couldn’t have asked for anymore. It is of a very high standard, my bag even had its own stool, whilst not being stuffy. You are made to feel very comfortable and relaxed whilst being treated to an exceptional 12+ course taster menu.

06/10/2024: Chrissy’s is our “Go To” restaurant. We have been on many occasions for both lunch and dinner and always enjoy the food as well as Pedro and his staff.
Had dinner there 2 nights ago. It is a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses and includes the couvert, water and wine. We both had the “Specials” starting with excellent spicey prawns followed by filets of seabass and then (my weakness!) ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. House wine was a very drinkable red from Lisboa. The service is relaxed and friendly. Yes, we will be returning.
03/10/2024: Recommended to us. Well presented fabulous food. Great idea to have set prices for how many courses you want. Superb value. Lovely setting with attentive service. Glad we went and will definitely return.

Primeira impressão nada de mais, tudo muito sério.
Um completo engano.
Cover com queijo, chouriça, presunto mas com muito sabor.
Depois veio a melhor parte, um belo de um ensopado de borrego
Umas maravilhosas bochechas, umas lascas de bacalhau e um espetacular bife a mouro.
Finalizamos com umas maravilhosas sobremesas acompanhada de café e o açúcar “medronho “.

15/09/2024: Restaurante calmo e acolhedor. Os empregados foram muito atenciosos, solícitos e que nos aconselharam muito bem em relação ao prato e você não a escolher e às quantidades necessárias. A comida estava muito bem confecionada e era mesmo muito boa.

Picked off the 15 euro menus.
Wife had mixed Kebab.
I had Sea Bass.
Absolutely fantastic.
Not a romantic setting. Not fancy but what a meal.
The best food eaten whilst out here.
Can see why the locals use
06/10/2024: Os menus tem pratos bem confecionados e saborosos. O menu é composto de bebida, prato e sobremesa. Já fui varias vezes e continuarei sempre que voltar a Albufeira. Funcionários prestáveis.

02/10/2024: We came specifically for the Cataplana, based on reviews on Google. It was really, really good. Very friendly, English speaking, down to earth vibe, and the football was on. Great atmosphere. Very good value. I’d definitely go again.

19/07/2024: Mi novio y yo asistimos al restaurante después de leer las otras críticas brillantes. No teníamos un coche y necesitábamos algo a poca distancia. Vinimos aquí en nuestra primera noche y no decepcionó. El menú tenía tantas opciones frescas y sabrosas para elegir. Los propietarios eran muy agradables y fueron amablemente capaces de traducir el tablero de ofertas para nosotros. ¡Fue difícil elegir un plato! La sangría blanca fue la mejor que he probado con tantas frutas increíbles dentro. El servicio era increíble y todo sobre él era auténtico. Muchas gracias 😊

07/10/2024: From booking to paying the very reasonable bill was a great dinning experience. Our second visit for a villa holiday in the area, called to book a table, good communication, table ready as agreed. Ordered drinks then food, food arrived and presented beautifully. Both mains well thought out and prepared. Cooked exactly as we had requested. Service very good and food reasonably priced for the quality. Desert’s very tasty too and large enough to enjoy rather than just taste.
05/10/2024: An excellent meal this evening with my wife. An extensive menu and very accomplished cooking. The staff are excellent and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

26/10/2024: We visited here on the recommendation of a "foodie", being vegetarian I checked the menu online and there was a significant amount of veggie options. When we arrived the menu in the restaurant was significantly smaller than online with limited veggie options (hence the dropped star). However, the food was lovely (pumpkin and courgette salad, pigs head croquettes, braised pork cheeks), service was good and price was very reasonable.
18/10/2024: Restaurant incontournable de faro! Expérience unique, plats typiques mais à la fois très originale. Meilleure restaurant pour ma part depuis mon arrivée au Portugal. Les serveurs en plus sont vraiment adorables et vous conseillent.

06/10/2024: This is by far the best restaurant in Salema. A group of us had dinner there last night and the food was wonderful as was the wine and the service. Fantastic attention to detail. It was a real treat.

07/09/2024: We had been at the Dead Sea experience before heading to Gunther's Restaurant - two new experiences.
And how lovely lunch was. And also incredible value. Fixed lunch menu was €15 and included covers, choice of 3 mains, 3 desserts and drink.
I had sea bass (Robalo) for my main and it was beautifully presented tasting as good as it looked. That was followed with cheesecake. Oh and my drink was a crisp glass of white wine.
Couldn't fault the food, service or the restaurant. Only issue as I see it is the location. You really won't come across the restaurant you'll need to seek it out. But if you do, it will be worth it.
