26/09/2024: What an amazing find. We stayed at the Monica Isabella, and this little restaurant was a real find. We ate there twice, and cannot fault the food the service or the price. On the first visit we had the prawn and beef skewer, so tasty and freshly cooked. Second night we had a Portuguese steak and a peri peri chicken after grilled prawn starter. So very tasty, staff are friendly and charming. But meals we had starters and beer and wine and both came in under £60.

20/09/2024: Serviço excelente, comida muito boa e em conta. Os trabalhadores foram muito simpáticos e acessíveis. Fomos quatro e cada um comeu o seu prato, mas todos muito fantásticos.

27/08/2024: Table was pre booked and we arrived on time. we found it difficult to park as there is very limited space. the restaurant wasn’t that busy but there was a big table being served beside ourselves (there were 8 in our party) It took almost 30 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order the decor in the restaurant is good , but the service is awful we waited another 30 minutes before a waiter came with the (very limited) menu which hasn’t changed in a very long time. the starters came ‘ad hoc’ which meant that some of the party had finished before others had even started. the main courses were drab and uninspiring. I opted for the ‘linguini nero’ which arrived early, and was served partially uncooked and partially overcooked ,the prawns were tough and the whole plate was well below standard, others in the party were equally less than amazed with the food. there a few things which i consider of prime importance in a restaurant , Service - Ambiance - and of course the Food ! none of which were considered adequate I dont want to spend a large part of my dining experience attracting waiter’s attention We also noticed 2 groups who left the restaurant because they hadn’t even been offered a drink We will not be going back !

24/08/2024: Lieu très agréable, joliment décoré. Les plats sont très bins mais manquent û peu de sauce. La dorade très bonne maos sans au une sauce c’est un peu fade. La viande a la.planche délicieuse. Manque de plats et desserts traditionnels portugais.

18/09/2024: Le meilleur resto qu’on ait fait au Portugal ! Un rapport qualité prix imbattable le plat autour de 20€ avec la boisson et le dessert compris ! L’endroit est cosy et le serveur d’un calme très agréable ! Quelques tables et seulement quelques plats… tout est fait maison! On recommande +++

13/09/2024: We were a group of friends (10 in tal) and booked to have dinner in the outside courtyard with cover. The menu offered a wide choice of meats and fish with some unusual options, that were amazing eg swordfish. The food was excellent as was the service and attention of the owner and staff. We are here for a few more days and will return again before we leave. Highly recommended for quality of food, attentive service and reasonable prices.

09/10/2024: From start to finish this meal was fantastic! We've been in Portugal 3 weeks and this was by far the best meal we've had - service was amazing; the food was delicious ( pork cheeks) and the presentation was first class; and the entire restaurant is clean, well run and efficient!! Don't hesitate to choose this Restaurant!!

04/10/2024: Adoramos o ambiente que é bem arejado, os funcionários muito educados e atenciosos e a comida muito boa. Almoçamos duas vezes neste restaurante e adoramos, preços bons também.

25/09/2024: Revisited Pausa after having eaten there last year - the food and service was excellent. Shared four tapas between two of us, which was just right.

25/09/2024: Oh dear - we have been here a couple of times before in previous years and had a great experience, not so this time. Our food was poor - not home made. The fried cheese with jam was like something shop bought, the patatas bravas were oven chips with a little sauce on top, several of our padron peppers were black. My salad was ok but uninspired, my husband’s curry was good. The service was non-existent. My husband had to clear plates from our table himself. The dishes were hurried and quickly deposited on our table with no interest from the staff or interaction. Very disappointing, we won’t return.

01/10/2024: Heerlijk vers eten en een uitstekende bediening. Daarnaast ligt het aan een heel leuk pleintje. De menukaart is ook in het Engels Wat erg fijn is.

24/09/2024: Very nice salad for lunch with smooth fresh goat cheese from a local Farmer. Worth a recommendation. Good place for a lunch with vegetarian meals

20/10/2024: Out walking from Ferriguda to Carveiro & stumbled across this fab restaurant.Couldn’t believe the Value .I had the Prawns big fat juicy ones with potato & salad half liter of wine ,water ,chocolate cake & coffee all for €15 .Unbelievable and all served with a smile 😀

02/10/2024: Exelente qualidade ao melhor preço Com tudo incluído paguei 17 Euros por entrada: pão manteigas e azeitonas, mais uma dose de lingueiráo, prato principal costeleta de vitela, com meio litro de vinho, sobremesa doce e café. Melhor no Algarve é impossível

09/10/2024: Initially we hadn’t booked as just arrived a few hours earlier. Waitress made it clear we should book by her attitude and nearly walked out! Eventually found us a table and as night progressed she was really nice. I had beef stroganoff which was tender and great sauce very creamy as it should be. He had sea bass and it was cooked well. So all in all a pleasant evening.

05/10/2024: Absolutely beautiful food and our table was perfect to watch the sunset over the marina. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Prawns in garlic butter were amazing as were the steaks. One of best meals while in Vilamoura .

04/11/2024: The food was absolutely delicious, service was excellent & lovely, warm, friendly staff. Can’t wait to return to try out another wonderful dish.

28/09/2024: We found this little gem by accident. But what a find. Old fashioned service with a smile. This is a true taste of Portugal. The lamb stew is unreal ,just be aware its packed at lunchtime with locals, so that tell you all you need to know. Will definitely be back.

23/10/2024: Four of us ate at the restaurant. The atmosphere was great and all four of us agreed that the food was exceptionally good with its quality, presentation and taste. We will be back!

26/10/2024: Qué fantástico restaurante es este. Fuimos recibidos por Bela y nos explicaron el menú por su pariente Paulo. El lugar estaba bullicioso y aunque lleno no desmerece el servicio de primera clase y muy atento. La comida estaba deliciosa, especialmente mi pollo con mango triturado y salsa de curry suave. Mi esposa tenía lubina y estaba igualmente impresionada. Para un lugar tan salubre y con clase los precios eran extremadamente razonables. En general, una gran noche y también debemos felicitar a todo el resto del personal de guardia, ya que desempeñaron su papel en garantizar que todos los comensales estaban bien cuidados.

23/10/2024: Esta es nuestra segunda vez a ruccula bien vale la pena una visita, no te decepcionará la vista con vistas a la bahía , el vino y la comida es excelente.

01/09/2024: Foi por acaso que lá passamos antes de uma ida à praia da Galé. Ficamos surpreendidos com a qualidade dos pratos e o cuidado na apresentação! Sem dúvida que ficou na lista dos nossos locais a repetir nas próximas visitas á região! De realçar o ambiente familiar e a simpatia de todos! 🥰

25/08/2024: Tudo é delicioso. Comemos no terraço e eles nos permitiram trazer nosso animal de estimação. Atendimento muito atencioso e agradável. Comemos camarões com alho, picaña e lombo e vinho local. Muito rico. Nós retornaremos

27/10/2024: What a wonderful night we had there. The food is amazing and the portions are a good size. The owners Ian and Tess are amazing and friendly people. We felt as if we were at home with some friends. I 100% recommand this place.

12/10/2024: My wife and I came here on the last night of our honeymoon because it was close to our resort and we are so glad we did! We shared an oxtail soup (Rabo Do Bol) and a beef curry. The oxtail was great - tender and flavorful - but the beef curry was the highlight of the meal. Tess, the chef, is from the Philippines and her Philippines inspired beef curry had so much depth and wonderful flavor we couldn’t get enough. We’ve eaten at many popular spots during our trip but this curry was very likely the best meal we had! We told Tess and Ian (her partner) we would have the leftovers for breakfast before we left and they loaded us with extra food in our takeout container! The food and service were great and it was the perfect way to end our honeymoon.
