This is the place to go. If you love great food, exceptional wine, and fantastic customer service with a bit of light-hearted banter, this is the place to be. We have just enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had the tuna steak with a herb crust and cooked in a light soya sauce the tuna melted in my mouth and the side helping of vegetables were fresh and tasty, hubby had the 3 peppered steak which he said was the best he's had in a long time, and trust me eat out alot. There's no wine list, but the selection is outstanding if you're not sure which wine you would like help is on hand, and they know their stuff. It's a must, well done madmarket we loved it.

25/10/2024: Fantastic food, wonderful service and a very special welcome as always.
15/10/2024: On the worst night of rain for weeks, this was the busiest place in the old town, and with good reason. Nice welcome and very friendly, on the ball staff. The owner or manager (?) looks permanently grumpy, but pretty much ignored the customers, which is fine. Atmosphere, food and bev choice, presentation and quality all good, quantities generous. Fixtures, fittings ,and decor all a bit tired and scruffy, prices quite ambitious, but rent is probably huge. Overall though very satisfactory, and good service. Taking my comments into account, nice meal, nice evening.

31/03/2024: Um maravilhoso restaurante mesmo no coração do Funchal. Fomos uma noite sem reserva, mas eles conseguiram nos espremer. O serviço foi excelente e a comida excelente. O tradicional peixe espada com banana estava uma delícia. Parece um restaurante tradicional do Funchal com um toque moderno. Definitivamente vale a pena uma visita!
