01/11/2024: We came here based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We booked it in the daytime for that evening. The staff are so enthusiastic and friendly. The steak was divine. The price was very reasonable, it would have cost a lot more at home in England. Would 100% recommend. We booked and would recommend booking as it is clearly popular and you might not get a table if you turn up.

30/10/2024: A great place to eat if you love a good steak cooked exactly the way you want it. We had a rib eye and sirloin. We were lucky, we went early as we hadn't booked and managed to get a table. Lots of people ended up being turned away as they were full. Great sides to accompany your steak. The team were welcoming, helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

04/11/2024: Sempre que posso tomo café ou chá no UAU cacau do Plaza Funchal, onde todo o staff é de uma simpatia extrema e de uma amabilidade infinita. Parabéns tanto pelos produtos que apresentam como também pela qualidade excelente do atendimento por parte do staff lá existente. Que continue assim para que possa usufruir sempre do vosso serviço.

10/08/2024: Had three visits here over a week's holiday ...for pingo (espresso with a tiny bit of milk), cakes, special drinks (coffee with chocolate ice-cream) and treats to bring home The prices are very reasonable approx 4e for a special drink and 1-2 for cafe/pingo. The chocolatees are a delight too so many gorgeous shapes, colours and flavours. We paid 12e for a box of mix and match of 10 chocolates of our own choosing. You can just buy one chocolate to have with a coffee and sit outside. The staff are kind, friendly and very patient especially whilst you make your chocolate selection It does get busy and some tour groups do visit. If looking for the chocolate shop it's just up from the bank of Portugal and on the side street opposite the pharmacy with gothic (ISH) I think architecture We loved their chocos so much we brought 3 boxes home with us -1 of the boxes just had coffee flavouring as we loved them soo much

27/10/2024: Très bonne poncha et bonne ambiance le soir ! Dommage qu’il n’y ai pas plus de places assises… attention aussi au quartier, pas bien fréquenté quand on rentre un peu tard le soir.

02/10/2024: Realmente disfrutamos de nuestros bocadillos y zumo. Ingredientes frescos y de alta calidad utilizados - pan muy sabroso, aguacate, salmón, hummus, tomates, fruta de la pasión y hierbas. ¡Probablemente los mejores bocadillos que hemos probado en mucho tiempo! No solo disfrutamos mucho de la comida, sino que la experiencia 'Fantástica' fue fabulosa también. Entretenidas y divertidas historias de Rubén, junto con información interesante sobre la comida. 21/10/2024: Ausgezeichnetes Essen zwischen all den touristischen Restaurants. Hier wird mit Leidenschaft gekocht und mit einer aussergewöhnlichen Herzlichkeit bedient. Wir waren zweimal in einer Woche dort! Danke für diese Genuss Reise.

09/10/2024: We ate her twice during our stay. The staff are attentive and the food is very good. Great location in the old Town and there is live music in the square most evenings. Would highly recommend.

28/11/2024: Tivemos de aguardar por mesa mas não passou de 15min. Espaço super agradável com uma vista incrível e tinha música. Ponchas deliciosas e a tábua de queijo para nós, foi das melhores. Fomos pelo prego e desiludiu, não achamos nada de especial (comemos melhores noutros locais). Atendimento eficaz e valores razoáveis.

24/11/2024: Hermoso... . . . . vinieron a almorzar se quedaron hasta después de la puesta del sol! En una calle tranquila al final de la calle Santa María, vistas fabulosas, personal, comida, ambiente, simplemente seguimos gravitando de nuevo a este bar al final de un día de turismo. Sólo vete.

04/12/2024: What a great start to a Lavada walk back to Monte. My wife and I shared a delightful well presented meat platter, followed by scones with jam. Coffee was very good too. Lovely garden to sit in with views back down to Funchal. Will definitely visit again.

03/12/2024: We stumbled upon this establishment by chance while zipping about on the 47 bus. and what a serendipitous discovery! Stopped by for cake and a cuppa and it was like sitting on the pretty patio of someone's private garden - a quiet, idyllic sanctuary surrounded by lush greenery and exotic flowering plants, a dazzling variety of which is the magenta and violet bromelia. The lemon drizzle cake oozed with the moist texture of homemade goodness, perfectly complimenting the nutty, full bodied flavour of the pot of Rooibos. One especially considerate touch was the bus schedule posted on the wall so that one would not be tardy for one's next destination. Truly encapsulated the mantra "drink tea, love life, eat cake" which was also brandished on the menu.

14/09/2024: We found this cafe last year and it became a favourite. We returned this year for carrot cake and sparking water - too hot for coffee. Lovely light, tasty cake. There is a great selection of cakes and pastries and good service. We’ll definitely return on our next visit.

19/07/2024: Staff muito simpático e atencioso, francesinha maravilhosa, grande variedade de doçaria/pastelaria tradicional e para os mais gulosos... Doce Parvo! É de comer e chorar por mais!

19/11/2024: Excelente café en la principal zona comercial de Funchal, puede ver por qué estaba tan ocupado. Excelentes bocadillos portugueses servidos por personal amable. Muy razonable en precio. Así que llenando no queríamos una cena ese día! Esperamos volver en nuestro próximo viaje.

18/11/2024: Hemos visitado este lugar unas cuantas veces, los bocadillos son fabulosos y los precios muy razonables teniendo en cuenta la calidad de la comida. El personal era muy amable y encantado de aconsejar sobre las diversas opciones. Muy recomendable!

03/09/2024: Não poderíamos estar mais certos ao vir experimentar este restaurante italiano. Recebemos um tratamento muito simpático, todos os ingredientes são frescos e a massa é feita no mesmo momento na frente do cliente. Uma experiência única e um preço de acordo com a qualidade dos seus pratos.

01/12/2024: Todo sobre este restaurante era increíble. Compartimos múltiples platos de comida, mejillones, camarones picantes, mejillas de cerdo, papas fritas, hongos rellenos, pan de ajo y verduras salteadas. Todo fue increíble. El ambiente era tan encantador y para colmo los camareros eran muy amables y muy divertidos. Recomiendo 100%.

30/11/2024: SÅ bra! Jättegod mat, härlig service, extremt prisvärt. RIKTIGT bra som helhet! Vi åt fyra av de jättegoda (!) smårätterna med en flaska vin, samt dessert och avec för 60€ - mätta som bara den och extremt prisvärt!!

04/10/2024: Ein sehr gemütlicher Innenhof. Nette Bedienung. Wir haben hier zwar nur Puncha getrunken, sind aber mehrmals hin, da die Atmosphäre gemütlich und einladend ist. Preise sind eher günstig. Sehr zu empfehlen ❤️

10/09/2024: Hübsche kleine Bar mit angenehmen Außenbereich und interessant gemischtem Publikum. Sehr netter Service. Gut für den kleinen Hunger, zum Beispiel mit den einheimischen Spezialitäten auf der letzten Seite der Karte (Empfehlungen: der salzige Thunfisch auf Brot und der Käse mit kleinen Zwieback-Broten und Marmelade).
