24/09/2024: A lovely little bar tucked away in a small square. The food was superb and the cocktails were delicious. We had a lovely sunny afternoon after a long walk on Falesia beach.

02/07/2024: Juweeltje. Heerlijk eten, fijne en goede bediening. Ook nog leuke live muziek. Echt een aanrader als je in de buurt bent. Prijs en kwaliteit in orde.

10/11/2024: Our first visit here was expensive!!. The waiter/ owner basically dictated what we should order. Now we are more than capable of choosing our meal but we decided to go with his suggestion of sea bass for two as he did not have salmon or sole (both were on the menu). We enjoy Portuguese wine but are not familiar with the different wines … again he sprung into action suggesting a white wine €29!. Anyway we paid and decided not to return. However our friends joined us for a couple of days and asked about dining here, we obliged. It was obvious the waiter did not recognize us. He immediately suggested the large sea bass even though we did ask again for salmon or sole. We decided to have a steak and pork loin. Our friends had the cataplana which was strongly recommended- we just listened to the routine as it was so familiar. It was obvious they did not enjoy it but politely picked out the monkfish to eat. To summarize I always ask the waiter if I am unsure what is in a dish etc. however we felt the waiter was overpowering.

10/10/2024: In a week we ate here three times, 1 lunch and dinner twice, excellent seafood every time, on last night we had arroz da marisco do chefe, 75 eoros for 2, what a treat, lobster, crabs, crayfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, prawns - amazing flavour- I recommend table 10 if 2 people, it’s near the till but watching the boss bustling around is so entertaining it’s worth the inconvenience, back to the food it was stupendous every time, pipped pedro as the best we found in Cabanas - highly recommended

25/09/2024: It shows on Trip Advisor site that this place is closed we have been here 14 year's and it's only closed on a Sunday opening times is 9 in the morning until 8.30-9.30 at night 🌙 it's fantastic the staff,Rodrigo, Gracinda, Ambica, and of course the owner Germano and Wife MHerminia will make you feel at home it's a full bar the food is Tosties,Hamburger & Chip's,English Breakfast, Cocktails,Beer wine, Gin etc in the warm day's it's a Sun trap,Euromilhoes scratch card's pool table,we can't wait to be back again in December 24

14/09/2024: Brilliant place. Good value for money and very friendly staff. Also has a pool table and offers excellent food. Very thankful to have found this wonderful place.

08/09/2024: An absolute gem of a place . Family owned and run . The toasts every two weeks are a must. Two sittings , 1 pm and 3 pm. Book in advance so you are not disappointed.

23/07/2024: Some people often write reviews, if they are asked, Trust me this Man & Kyle & Family. does not need to ask. I personally rely on reviews & this Bar certainly deserves the Highest Rating. Joe & Kyle 🌟🌟 are not only the perfect Hosts they are Real & Genuine. I can honestly say you arrive Here as Visitors, but Trust me you leave as by Personally Thank you So much Joe 👏👏👏🌟 I’m not certain of this only because I was told by another Visitor, that possibly because of Petty Stupid & Personal Reasons & that the COCO JOLO is to maybe CLOSE its Doors for Good, Well this Apartment Block, is going to loose its most Valuable Asset. One thing I am truly certain & trust me old enough to say is that You really don’t know what you have LOST till it’s Gone. HOW REALLY REALLY SAD. Regards & Love Joe Joan & Charlie Mc. 17/09/2024: We visit this place every time we come to Olhão, unfortunately this time was extremely different. We choose a golden bream from the fish counter and was served another one that was not even removed from the fish counter. The service has always been amazing but suddenly changed when we asked for our fish to be exchanged for the one we had chose. Due to this we will never return. When asking clients to choose from the counter and then serve something else we found this an insult and not the way all fish restaurants with counter work at least in Portugal. Who is to say that the fish they wanted to serve was fish of the day ? Such a shame as the food has always been fantastic and was when it arrived at the table but due to what happened the lack of confidence that really the produce is fresh was left with us. Like a say such a shame 😞

07/09/2024: Um restaurante discreto mas maravilhoso, com comida de alta qualidade, foi o nosso spot favorito para comer em Olhão. Aconselhamos desde o peixe fresco, ao belíssimo arroz de marisco, á amêijoa, ao lingueirão e ao camarão ao alhinho. Tudo o que aqui comemos foi muito bom, até as sobremesas, doces conventuais da zona. Obrigada á Luana por todas as dicas, e á sua tia.

24/08/2024: Harte unbequeme Stühle, schlechter suco da laranja (ohne Eis, dafür mit allen Kernen die die Orange her gab), Bedienung na-já. Gute Aussicht. Musik vom Nachbarlokal (Jazzkneipe) grauenvoll. (Dafür kann aber das bewertete Lokal nichts)

18/05/2024: Fabulous little spot with views out to sea and the ideal place to have a spot of breakfast whilst waiting to catch the ferry to the islands for the day. Angela runs a very busy cafe with a smile on her face most of the time, well done.

30/10/2024: Utilizamos 2 vezes à hora de jantar, para uma refeição leve, a mais simples das simples: tosta mista e 1/2 de leite. Se repetimos, está implicito o que pensamos do sitio. Contudo, apreciamos a presteza e a simpatia do serviço, além do sinal da variedade dos produtos mostrados no balcão envidraçado, mesmo que já em pequena quantidade. A hora ( 20 hrs) de encerramento, consideramo-la um ponto negatico.

20/10/2024: Such bad service. I've been going here for 30 years, the tall woman with short cropped hair was so rude. On this occasion we wanted to pay cash (usually pay with bank card). When I came to pay in cash, she said in an angry rude voice, "do it there" meaning a self payment machine for cash, which we were not aware of. When I said, but we have always paid at the counter, she replied in a rude voice, "well it is there now", pointing at the machine abruptly. Also we purchased 2 cakes for my wife and I and she put them both on one plate, rather than individually served. Bearing in mind I have 25 years in catering experience, and understand how things are served correctly. Very disappointing, I won't be returning to that establishment and I will take my money where people would enjoy serving their customers.
