05/09/2024: Muy mal educadas las dos camareras, y con mal genio.Nos trataron como si fuésemos a irnos sin pagar y contestaban con mal genio, no entendíamos el idioma y no hicieron nada por tratar de entender.

11/05/2024: Please don't waste your time or money at this restaurant. The service is atrocious. We walked in and was greeted with a grunt from an older lady who just sat in a chair while the younger lady smiled. We asked to move the table to arrange for 6 people she wasn't helpful at all. The older lady was very rude to other customers too.

06/10/2024: Called in here to have coffee and cakes but despite the pouring rain outside we were told that the only places to sit were under their umbrellas outside. Plenty of empty tables inside… however we sat outside and waited patiently for service. 10 mins later we abandoned our quest in disgust.. So will never be able to comment on the quality of food or drinks but the service is abysmal.

02/10/2024: Angenehmes schönes Ambiente, sehr gute Küche, nicht perfekt, Service ausbaufähig. Mittagessen sehr gut, dann noch Abendessen, wieder sehr ansprechend. Fado toll!! Reservieren.

23/07/2024: Excelente comida, ambiente familiar, com ótimo atendimento. Restaurante para quem procura a comida regional do Porto. Restaurante onde vão os portugueses que residem naquela localidade e não é restaurante de turistas.

16/11/2024: Tivemos um ótimo jantar de tapas saborosas e muito bem apresentadas, acompanhadas por uma sangria deliciosa. Um serviço eficiente acompanhado de muita simpatia.Sala agradável.Experiência a repetir certamente.

29/09/2024: La comida era buena No puedo quejarme de ello. Atención al cliente lenta y grosera. Lo que me sorprendió fue cómo "niquelan" todo. Podemos permitirnos una buena comida, sin embargo cobrar por el aceite de oliva que ni siquiera tocamos, el pan que no pedimos y $ 2, 5 por una cucharada de mantequilla es codicioso e injusto. No me importa qué tan buena comida sirvan, pero son groseros y codiciosos. Pagamos sin problemas, pero no volveremos.

11/10/2024: When other restaurants in the area would not give a reservation because they knew they were in demand and told us to chance getting a table when we showed up ( we both hate this because if you fail you end up settling for somewhere just because it is available). Having received this dismissive attitude in two restaurants we found and liked the menu in Avo Maria. When we arrived for our 8 pm reservation we were the only couple inside. Worried we had made a mistake… definitely not. Best nights food in Porto. Amazing service and food. Great value. Cannot understand why they are not permanently booked out. Thank you for an excellent night of dining and drinking. ❤️

27/09/2024: El trato a mi familia ha sido excelente. La comida era buena y los postres eran excelentes. No me pareció caro, somos cinco adultos y no llegó a los 190€.

30/09/2024: Refeição agradável num ambiente agradável. Crianças presentes sem perturbar. Pratos saborosos. Preços em conta. É uma opção!

27/07/2024: Location; Awful atmosphere in this used-to-be place. Almost invisible from the street, only highlighted by a worn-down sign. No one at the front desk, the place almost seemed vacant at first glance. We found our way to the back, where the dining-room is located, and was seated fast. Football playing on the television, extremely bad acoustics and a lack of glasses for water(??) made the overall feeling off. The doors to the womens bathroom had some trouble closing. Also, rabbits roaming in the garden, how odd? Decor; Plastic flowers atop the white tablecloth is a complete nogo. Menu presented in a plastic holder. Dessert-card with pictures.(we didnt have any, obviously) The place were giving very mixed signals, is it fine dining, is it a cantine? You cant tell really. Staff; Overall friendly, though one in particular seemed tired, and yawned quite often in front of guests. Food; Simply bad. Bland, poorly presented, and took them 30 minutes to cook 3 dishes. Tasted as if the kitchen is afraid of salt and pepper. Also quite expensive for the quality. All food were also wheeled in on a trolley,(!!) making an awful amount of noice, leaving us perplexed as to why the staff wouldnt simply carry the plates from the kitchen to the diners. (We had veal and shrimps with Rice) Overall a sad, disapointing experience, would not recommend anyone to visit.
