Very good customer service, staff is bery friendly. We loved the lassi and saag chicken.
Could do better with naans, felt too thick when compared to others

19/10/2024: Our servers were so great and funny. We enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere, and the service.
16/10/2024: Our party of 4 had a mixed selection of starters and mains which were very good, particularly the lamb karahi. The spice level of the chicken jalfrezi was not as requested though .
The service was very , but overly , attentive with multiple staff asking if everything was ok , and sometimes staying to engage in conversation rather than leaving us to eat and enjoy our own company !

02/11/2024: One of our regrets in our week-long stay in Funchal was not visiting the Taj Mahal for a second time. We wanted to go on Monday, but the restaurant is closed that day.
The Taj Mahal is a clean and inviting establishment. As the name indicates, Indian culinary specialties are offered. My wife and I both enjoyed our dishes.
The appetizer that stands out is the Taj Mahal’s Piri Piri Shrimp. It is not too spicy, but very delicious. I took a picture of it which I included with this post. Enjoy.
14/10/2024: Lovely outdoor terrace and smart indoor dining room. Welcoming and warm service. The food is some of the best Indian food I have tasted. The menu has the old favorites and some dishes I’d not seen before. Lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Good wine list. I particularly loved the vegetable samosas and onion bhajis and they do great sag aloo and Dahl. My friends enjoyed chicken tikka and biriani dishes. We visited twice we liked it so much.

14/07/2024: If you want fantastic freshly home cooked Goan Food this is the place to visit. Dont be in a hurry. The food can take some time to come, but once on the table it’s a Gastronomjc experience of phenomenal proportions.. A real treat … Samosa’s, Prawn Curry, Fish Curry, Lime Pickle. Papad all must be ordered….

20/10/2024: Très bon restaurant, les plats sont délicieux et abordables ! Nous avons pris un mix méat en entrée viande très tendre, puis en plat un chicken madras avec des cheese naan, repas au top ! Personnel au top, très accueillant et serviable.
Nous avons passer un très bon dîner en couple.

15/10/2024: Definitiv eine gute Wahl in Almograve! Insbesondere die gebratenen Momos (vegetarisch) waren spitze. Auch die indischen Gerichte haben gut geschmeckt, die Portionen waren fair, ebenso der Preis. Würden wir definitiv wiederholen! Wir hatten das Essen als Takeaway, nachdem wir vorher telefonisch bestellt hatten - alles super funktioniert!
29/09/2024: Sehr gutes Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Gute Atmosphäre und nette Kellner zudem. Auch gut für Vegetarier und Veganer. Hatten einen super Abend!
