Trigal Restaurant em Funchal

23/08/2024: Great spot on the corner of Rua de Santa Maria and Rua dos Barreiros for people watching and watching cars come down the narrow cobblestone street. I stopped here for lunch and had their EUR 12,50 lunch menu which came with a starter soup, choice of protein (mostly fish options and pork chops) and plenty of sides (squash, rice, chick peas, pineapple, olives and cabbage). The food was tasty, and more importantly, the service was great. The gentleman who served me was friendly and attentive to me and my dining neighbours. When I went to use the toilet another staff member from the back of house made sure I found the light switch. The meal was completed with a small shot of Madeira wine. Overall I recommend for the good service and great value for money, especially in the middle of a very tourist heavy area. I left very full and satisfied.
