É uma experiência com boa comida... Ótimo atendimento... Trompetista 🎺... Lugar muito simpático também. Atualização de 2025... Ainda boa comida e ótimo entretenimento... Pessoalmente, sinto que o aumento de preços foi um pouco longe demais, 68 euros por pessoa para o conceito especial... O suficiente para eu experimentar outros lugares na próxima vez.

Primeira vez que visito esta viagem, mas certamente não será a última. Do início ao fim o serviço e a comida foram impecáveis. Definitivamente um dos nossos restaurantes favoritos no Funchal agora.

The ambiance of the restaurant along with the atmosphere by having live music was really nice.
The professional way the staff work at the tables to make all guest feel comfortable and special.
The food was some of the best we have sampled in Madeira also Excellent wine selection by the staff.
I have to mention Andreia Doria who was excellent and made our experience even more special with her professionalism.

Este restaurante é glorioso. Uma das melhores refeições que comemos há muito tempo. A comida era incrível. Escolhemos um menu especial e tomamos vinho em cada prato. O vinho foi fantástico. Toda a refeição do início ao fim foi tão boa. O serviço estava a par da comida. A equipe foi tão adorável e prestativa. Eu recomendo 100% este lugar.

From the moment you step into Hemingways you are greeted by warm friendly staff, beautiful table setting and a glass of sparkle. A fabulous concept meal with a wine glass that never empties, unless you want it to. On our evening there was live music which created a great atmosphere.

A equipe do Hemingway's é adorável, gentil e amigável; uma verdadeira vantagem. A comida era boa, mas não excepcional e apenas um pouco cara. Um pequeno copo de Madeira grátis no final da refeição foi um toque agradável.

Fantástico restaurante que tem figuras literárias como modelos para os nomes dos pratos.
O que comemos tinha um sabor maravilhoso.
A música de trompete fina e grave aumentou o clima.

The concept meal is now €64.95, more than any of the others we use in Funchal. There is no amuse bouche nor sorbet between courses. The starters were lacking in flavour, even requiring salt on my wife’s prawn and avocado. The beef wellingtons were not rare but medium rare. The mushroom duxelles were good though. The crème brûlée was over cooked and my pannacotta was not silky smooth but grainy in texture. The wine was good but not free flowing until we were ready to leave.
A disappointing meal for my birthday.
It’s a shame because we have been coming to this restaurant in all its varying forms for over 20 years. I’m sure a lot of people have had excellent food and service here but not us, this time.
