A favourite spot whilst we’ve holidayed in Funchal over many years . Warm welcome and a good mix of local folk and tourists . Downstairs is the fish restaurant and upstairs meat - but if your party have mixed choices there is no problem with seating . Superb Argentinian style steak on a stone ….large portions but great quality food .

Excellent food from set menu, remember to ask for it My husband had the set menu, smoked salmon salad, chicken in mushroom sauce then ice cream. Portions big. I had the special salad off main menu. It was huge. Service good. Prices cheap

09/10/2024: Das Restaurant hat einen gemütlichen Außenbereich unter Bäumen. Die Vorspeise (Garnelen Cocktail) als auch die Hauptspeisen Espetada (Rindfleisch am Spieß) und Espada (Degenfisch) waren sehr lecker. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen während unseres Urlaubs garantiert ein zweites Mal.
14/09/2024: We dined here last year and as we were staying nearby knew it was a good bet for good food. Not mobbed but fairly busy we sat out on the terrace and enjoyed their hanging kebabs again. We both chose chicken, nicely marinated and plenty of big pieces. We had fries and a beautiful tasty fresh salad to accompany. Good menu choices and good service at reasonable prices. Still worth a visit!

12/10/2024: If you are looking for great food, friendly atmosphere with live music you can’t beat Bruno’s. We have been coming here for over 10 years and never been disappointed. We are not easy to feed. I am vegetarian and my wife is Gluten Free and there is always a good selection. Friday Saturday and Sunday seem to be the main nights for the live music. On one night they have the most famous guitarist/musician in Madeira playing his guitar. Ask for Hotel California, it is a delight. Bruno and his staff are the most friendly and efficient people I have ever met, they make the evening a joy. If your hotel is away from the restaurant he even provides a pick-up service. The vegetarian menu is the best I have found on Madeira and is so tasty. Don’t lose out, I would say give it a try. Most nights it’s really buzzing, so enjoyable.
