15/11/2024: ¡Chicos, sois increíbles! Muchas gracias por una experiencia maravillosa! Una visita obligada a Madeira. Silvia, su familia y sus amigos son increíbles. Toda la noche estuvo llena de amor, amabilidad, espíritu familiar y gran música. Nos gustó mucho. La comida también era deliciosa. Me alegro de que nuestros amigos recomendaron el lugar. ¡Vale la pena!

08/11/2024: Great restaurant, we tried out the Innovation and the Vegetarian Innovation gourmet menus. They were fantastic, so you should try it.

07/11/2024: We loved the advertisement on the street showing the cocktail bar overlooking the sea. So we decided to pop in and were shown to a well placed table however the waitress then left us without clearing the table from the previous guests. We moved the items to another table. It then took a good 15 minutes before we were asked what we would like. We asked for some nuts with our cocktails. Eventually small uninspiring cocktails arrived and beside it 3 peanuts in their shells!!!! We didn't see any other staff members to ask for the bill and it wasn't until we decided to go to the bar to pay did anyone materialize. A really bad experience. Sadly we will not return.

03/10/2024: We came back here after visiting in previous years for Brunch. All was absolutely lovely and we left totally stuffed. And for less than €30!

18/09/2024: This is a cute shop and restaurant in center of madeira. They offer various teas, some pastry and brunch. it has an outside seating area in the square and then places inside which is nicely decorated and comfortable. the prices are too high for what it is for Madeira prices. When we visited, we were served by two separate female servers and one guy. the girls didn't smile and one of them specially seemed unfriendly in the way he spoke even though they were not very busy. I would not go there again because they are unfriendly. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafes in Madeira with very friendly staff and more reasonable prices.

27/11/2024: The tuna belly is exceptional. Staff is very nice and offers great advice. Prices are very reasonable. I would come back any time.

24/11/2024: Amazing tapas meal, spectacular wine selections and wonderful team service. This was a delightful meal in the heart of ‘Portugal’s Garden’ We will be back!!!!!

13/11/2024: Very disappointing cake selection in afternoon tea. Very poor. Deteriorated since last visited. So disappointing. Staff ok but not standard I’d expect

07/11/2024: Nos dieron una amable bienvenida en el hotel y nos pidieron que esperar antes de ser llamados a tomar nuestro asiento en una pequeña mesa para 2 con vistas al mar. Una gran vista. El menú de té nos fue entregado para elegir entre los que lo hicimos evitando las copas enormemente caras de champán también enumerado. Se trajeron las teteras hermosas, aunque diminutas, y el té se vertió antes de que se hubiera preparado. Las ollas goteaban sobre el mantel blanco impoluto. Llegó la selección salada. Los 2 bocadillos abiertos ahumados eran encantadores. Los otros sándwiches de dedos grandes no estaban sabrosos en absoluto, a veces no estábamos seguros de cuáles eran los rellenos. Los 3 bollos llegaron con una pequeña cantidad de mantequilla batida, una pequeña olla de crema definitivamente no era buena crema que era delgada y 2 pequeñas ollas de mermelada de fresa insípida / gelatina. Los bollos estaban secos, no los terminamos. A continuación el plato de pasteles que eran muy dulces y de color agraciado. No hay fruta fresca a la vista. No podíamos comerlos. En este punto tuvimos que pedir más té para lavar toda la dulzura. Había una completa falta de imaginación tanto en la selección salada como en la dulce y definitivamente no valía la pena las £ 50 por cabeza Creo que la necesidad de Reid de re-pensar completamente la comida que están ofreciendo. Realmente no podemos recomendarlo.

15/10/2024: What a find, so accommodating and friendly to a RL fan trying to watch the recent Grand Final. Having tried several so called sports bars who allegedly show all sport I was resigned to trying to watch the Wigan V Hull KR final on my phone. However I came upon The White House online, rang them and they were more than willing to put the big game on for little old me. Raced up there from my hotel and spent 3 brilliant hours watching a great game whilst being looked after by excellent staff. Would definitely recommend this pub to any true sports fa.

22/09/2024: We had spotted this restaurant while staying down the hill at Cliff Bay and doing some walk abouts. At this point in our most excellent visit to Portugal, we were interested in the Argentinian hot dog and incredibly intriguing k-bab. Not only were the dishes terrific, but the service was terrific, and we even went back from the veranda to the bar for an after-dinner drink, maybe Guinness if memory serves. If you are near this most excellent restaurant, do yourself a favor and dive in!

10/12/2024: We enjoyed a very special dinner for my husband’s 70th birthday. A table with beautiful views of the nighttime harbour and Funchal lights. All of the food we chose was excellent and the service great without being overly attentive. The restaurant is such a lovely space in a unique building. Highly recommend.

01/10/2024: We’ve been walking past this place for years, thinking it was more of a snack bar. Looking on Tripadvisor, we saw the positive reviews, and decided to give it a try. What have we been missing!!!! It’s far more than a snack bar! Yes, you can stop for a snack, or a drink - but they also do a reasonable selection of main meals. Their ‘special’ today was slow roast belly pork, which is one of my all time favourites. I was presented with a huge piece of meat, with a deliciously rich gravy (or jus for the viewers of Masterchef!) It was very, very good, and was definitely up there with the best I’ve ever had. The two others in our party were also very happy with their meals. Great, friendly, service, and a bill at the end for food and drinks that screamed ‘great value for money’. Shame it’s taken us so long to find you ‘Barracuda’. Our loss - thanks again Tripadvisor for putting it on our ‘radar’. We’ll definitely be back.

09/07/2024: Fuimos a este restaurante / bar un martes por la mañana, el tiempo era glorioso, así que nos sentamos afuera solo tuvimos dos cafés y estaban deliciosos y a un precio razonable y el camarero joven que nos sirvió no podría haber sido más amable pensar que su nombre era Emanuel.

05/04/2024: A melhor sopa de tomate que temos na Madeira. Há barulho lá dentro, mas porque está sempre cheio de clientes. Você provavelmente terá que ficar na fila e esperar por uma mesa livre, mas a comida vale a pena

24/03/2024: O meu favorito foi o café da manhã. Provavelmente o melhor café da manhã em um hotel que já tomei! Os chefs preparam a melhor omelete pela manhã. E os croissants.. uau, os melhores que já comi. O serviço foi incrível em geral. Os quartos são bons, especialmente na casa principal.
