13/10/2024: Was recommend this restaurant by the owners brother who runs Urban Pizza in the new town. So glad he did! Only four of us, due to miscommunication with the other four who were sat at a restaurant two doors down! Not an issue for the waiter, and he recommended a very good bottle of wine. The food was excellent - I went for the chateaubriand - great to be able to order this as a single portion. All staff were great and offered us a complimentary drink at the end. Best meal of the holiday.

20/10/2024: Wir waren etwas früh um 17.45h und wollten erst einen Apéro und dann lecker essen. Der Chef war etwas rumplig, da er wohl in seiner kurzen Pause gestört wurde. Doch als wir dann trotzdem ganz tolle Sachen bestellt haben, war die Freundlichkeit wieder gefunden. 😉 Das Essen war toll, frisch zubereitet und grosse Portionen. Auch der Hauswein war ausgezeichnet. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

31/03/2024: Apesar do muito movimento motivado pelo Moto GP o atendimento foi simpático e eficiente com doses generosas de boa comida.

23/03/2024: Restaurante incrível, com funcionários muito simpáticos e boa comida. Somos da França e procuramos um lugar não muito turístico, e ficamos felizes em encontrar esta joia escondida com uma ótima atmosfera. Tivemos uma cataplana deliciosa e passamos momentos maravilhosos. A equipe fala inglês e alguns falam francês.

25/09/2024: O local é agradável, a comida era boa e fresca, o atendimento foi nota 10. Fácil de estacionar por perto. Afastado da área de maior movimento, ainda assim fácil de chegar se estiver de carro.

22/09/2024: We visited on a Wednesday night having booked a table in advance. I would recommend booking as the restaurant was full. Great selection on the menu, including specials of fresh fish and meat which will be presented to you. The service was excellent and the waiters very attentive. The food was fresh, well cooked and generously portioned. We enjoyed fresh fish which was filleted at the table, starters, a bottle of wine and glasses of port for around £120 (for 2 people). Definitely recommend to those staying in the area and would return!

09/10/2024: This was a fabulous lunch experience! You choose your fish and pay by the kg. They bring you the fish to get your approval before they filet and grill it. We were very appreciative that the manager asked if we needed some help when the fish was presented… as we would not have had a clue as to how to separate it from the bone and discard the excess… The fish was the most delicious I’ve ever had! We chose the Red Snapper!

09/10/2024: Mooie en aangename plaats om te zitten, maar het eten was slechts van gemiddelde kwaliteit en bereiding voor Portugal en véél te duur voor wat het was. De volgende dag hebben we veel lekkerdere visgerechten gegeten voor slechts de helft van de prijs in een visrestaurant waar het ook leuk was om te zitten en waar eveneens toeristen kwamen.

25/09/2024: On quitte le front de mer pour rejoindre la large terrasse bordée du grill où vont cuire la plupart des plats car ici, poissons, calamars et sèches sont rois. Tout le reste est accessoire, un service directif, des tables un peu trop serrées, on ne passera pas ici un dîner romantique en savourant la finesse d’une sauce ou d’un accompagnement choisi. C’est une ambiance cantine de bord de mer qui peut convenir.

13/10/2024: We had our wedding at this perfect venue on 28.09.24. We couldn’t have done it without the help of the amazing wedding co ordinator- Kirsten. So knowledgable of local vendors, supportive of every idea, our go to throughout the whole process. We had the bbq buffet our wedding guests are still saying now ‘the best wedding food’ they’ve ever had. The bar /restaurant staff are second to none, amazing service with a smile. Thank you Lighthouse grill & bar.

30/03/2024: Uma Tasca proporcionou a mim e a minha esposa uma experiência deliciosa de almoço. Ficamos cativados pelas deslumbrantes vistas do oceano e pelo interior aconchegante que contribuiu para a atmosfera encantadora. O serviço foi excepcional, com funcionários simpáticos e eficientes que foram extremamente prestativos. O peixe fresco e os pratos deliciosos foram particularmente agradáveis. Eu recomendo este restaurante.

20/09/2024: Durante la vacanza a Portimão abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante, piatti ottimi. Abbiamo ordinato il polpo alla griglia e il tonno, entrambe le portate erano accompagnate da verdure e la quantità era abbondante. La location non era il massimo perché dà sulla strada ma il ristorante in sè era carino. Consigliato 👍🏻

25/09/2024: Nachdem wir trotz vieler leerer Plätze einige Zeit warten mussten bis wir bedient wurden, waren die Bedienung und der Service im allgemeinen leider alles andere als zufriedenstellend. Uns war zwar klar, dass dieses Restaurant sicher ein Stück weit von seiner Lage profitiert, doch dass man sich dort so darauf ausruht ist schlichtweg ärgerlich. Die Preise sind nicht unverschämt, aber im Vergleich zu wesentlich besseren Restaurants deutlich zu hoch. All das wäre noch zu dulden gewesen. Man ist ja im Urlaub und Laune sowie Portemonnaie sitzen da bekanntermaßen und Gott sei dank lockerer - doch Geschmack und Verträglichkeit sind zwei weitere Themen, auf die ich noch eingehen muss. Der Fisch, der direkt neben den Zugängen zu der Toilette präsentiert wird kann optisch wie geschmacklich in keinster Weise mit anderen Restaurants mithalten, die wir besucht haben. Die Burger kamen komplett durchgebraten, mit trockenen 0815 Brötchen daher und die Spargel-Pasta schmeckte wirklich nur nach Knoblauch. Wir sind wirklich freundliche und unkomplizierte Leute und noch nie zuvor wurde ich in einem Restaurant nicht gefragt, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit war, hier jedoch schon. Also hat man es uns entweder bereits angesehen oder der Kellner wusste um den Zustand, in dem sich das Restaurant befindet, in dem er arbeitet, bereits Bescheid. Absolut keine Empfehlung wert!

25/08/2024: Minha família e eu visitamos a Cabana do Pescador várias vezes por ano desde que compramos uma casa em Quarteira, há três anos. Consideramos os proprietáriosCarla e Leonel amigos e pessoas verdadeiramente boas. Nunca ficamos desapontados com a comida ou serviço. Procuramos e recebemos ótimos conselhos sobre especialidades de jantar e combinações de vinhos. Esses caras sabem o que fazem. Vá lá, coma lá. Você não ficará desapontado.

18/10/2024: TOURISTIC MENU 400 yds up off the Alvor strip (heading from the beach) on the right down a side road, we stumbled on this restaurant. A friendly welcome, but was asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but the manager said he'd squeeze us in as it's early evening. After eating at most restaurants having an average spend of £55 we were surprised to see this deal. Bread, Butter, Soup of the day, Fish of the Day or Grilled Pork Steak, Draught Beer or Soft Drink or Glass of Wine & Coffee. Price: €16,00 pp. The soup was vegetable soup. The fish of the day was a choice of Sea Bass, Halibut, or Golden Bream. Three lovely tasting fish. We chose the Halibut. Food came & was delicious throughout. We felt a bit guilty as we were eating as the manager was turning people away. All the booked tables were filling up fast, so he couldn't accommodate them. The restaurant is just off the beaten track & very rustic with benches to sit on, but the atmosphere & food were excellent, proper Portuguese vibe. Absolute bargain.

13/10/2024: My Fiancée & i had an amazing romantic meal at this gorgeous restaurant we only booked it on the morning via WhatsApp before we went in the evening. We both have to say it is one of the best meals that we have ever eaten together in Alvor Portugal! This is the first time i have been here and my fiancée has been in here quite a few times but not for many years. We had the fish soup and mussels to start (the fish soup was the best we had on our holiday in Portugal and tried it in many different places) For the mains we had sea bass fillets and a Portuguese steak which were both really really nice! Both me and my fiancee were happy to see that it’s still a family run business and the people running it still remember my fiancées grandparents who have visited this restaurant many times over the recent decades but not for many years! (Table for 2 downstairs when they arranged the booking) the staff couldn’t do enough for you very pleasant and welcoming!! a hidden treasure in Alvor worth searching out!!!

31/03/2024: O Maresia e um restaurante muito bom. O servico e rapido e simpatico e a cozinha serviu todos os pedidos em condicoes de primeira classe. As costeletas de borrego e os pratos de peixe estavam cozinhados na perfeicao e muito saborosos. So posso recomendar o Maresia sem reservas, e faz sentido reservar uma mesa com antecendencia.
