09/10/2024: This was our fourth time at Rio A Vista. The staff are super friendly, great service provided. One of them looks a bit like Novak Djokovic. We had mixed kebabs and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

27/09/2024: We had dinner here during our stay in Alvor and intended to return except that on our next planned visit on a Sunday evening it was closed, which was our loss. The food is good and the restaurant including the toilets are clean. The staff are attentive and efficient. We had fish and meat dishes, which were very good with plenty to eat. Well worth a visit.

09/10/2024: O polvo grelhado com batatas estava bem embora não muito tenro. Anunciavam como acompanhamento grelos, mas o que foi servido foi uma colher de couve salteada. Quanto ao polvo com ameijoas, sentimo-nos defraudados: era uma amostra de pedacinhos de polvo no meio das batatas. Restaurante mediano. A não voltar.

30/03/2024: A nossa segunda vez em Albufeira e não estou a brincar, o Olivalmar tornou-se o nosso restaurante favorito aqui. As recomendações sobre pescado fresco são sempre acertadas e a combinação de vinhos de Rui torna toda a refeição fora deste mundo. Toda a equipe é muito atenciosa e acolhedora. As vistas são perfeitas, especialmente se você encontrar uma mesa do lado de fora ou perto da janela e o tamanho da porção for ótimo. Mal posso esperar para voltar a Albufeira e visitar este lugar. Altamente recomendado!!

04/10/2024: This was an absolutely delicious dinner with friendly wait staff! We had our first ever Cataplana here and it was mouth-wateringly good with fresh clams, oysters, and prawns. We also shared the yummy house wine. The whole experience felt very warm and authentic. As an aside, we forgot a bag at the restaurant after all that wine. The staff tried to catch us and contact us, but were unable. Still, they kept the bag (with wallet and passport!!!) safe until we realized and returned for it the next day. The food is amazing regardless, and these folks are certainly more than deserving of your business!

14/09/2024: As frequent visitors to Armacao de Pera, we always head for Jony's when we want a good meal. The staff are always welcoming and the food is extremely good value. On this occasion we had the prawn cocktail and the fish soup as starters and the mixed meat kebab (which is enormous) and the chicken in mushroom sauce. Everything was delicious and well-cooked. We were disappointed not to see Carlos the owner there, he is always great fun, so we are hoping all is well with him and his family. We will be going back later in the week as this was the best food and the best price with the best view and you can't ask for more.

15/10/2024: We have been coming here for around 16 years, and I'm afraid to say that our experience this time around was a bit dismal. A complete change of staff, no atmosphere, food was rushed out to you. My partner ordered the chocolate moose, and it was all runny, liquidity. She approached the server and was told that's how it's made now. Later, we were told that all the deserts were bought in and not homemade as in previous years. Come on, restaurant owner keep your standards high

28/09/2024: A minha mãe pediu bife de atum grelhado e para além de vir frio, mal passado teve uma intoxicação alimentar que foi parar ao hospital. A comida vem muito deslavada, salada só de alface, pão do dia anterior ....experiência a não repetir.

10/11/2024: Pasamos por el Retiro de Isca y estoy muy contento de haber parado. La comida y el servicio era excepcional. Todo lo que pedimos era delicioso. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volvería a visitar. El camarero era muy amable. Vale la pena visitarlo.

23/08/2024: Comida bem confecionada mas com pouca variedade de peixe, esperava mais. Preço alto para a qualidade apresentada. Tornedó c/ bacon estava bom, o resto é mais do mesmo.

25/10/2024: Everything about this place is pretty average. We have been a few times now and the welcome is very average - like customers are a bit of an inconvenience. Not all of them - the guy who took our food order was good. Roof terrace nice views but bar staff not especially welcoming. Went downstairs and sat outside - that barman was excellent. Food is fine but no better than that. If the beach location is important to you, its a good spot but for everything else there a a lot of way better restaurants to visit in Quinta do Lago/Vale de Lobo. We have scrubbed this one off the list now.

08/09/2024: Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante incuriositi dall'insegna esterna ed entrando abbiamo scoperto la particolarità di questo ristorante. In pratica i pescatori locali espongono il pescato del giorno ed i clienti a pranzo o a cena scelgono cosa mangiare in base all'ordine di entrata al ristorante. Noi abbiamo scelto sardine e orate freschissime. Naturalmente il pesce viene cotto al momento della scelta ed è forse per questo che nonostante la location molto semplice i prezzi non sono molto economici. Un'esperienza però da provare assolutamente. Consigliatissimo.

19/10/2024: La comida más deliciosa y el servicio era excelente y una gran relación calidad-precio. Mi esposa tomó el salmón y yo el pollo piri - piri, seguido de crema de caramelo. Podría volver y tener la misma comida cada noche de nuestras vacaciones, pero en su lugar se han resistido y reservado de nuevo para nuestra última noche... .. si puedo esperar tanto tiempo! 🤣. Fotos subidas y el no veg fue mi elección porque estoy de vacaciones y tan permitido!

01/10/2024: Er zijn niet veel restaurants die tegenvallen in Carvoeiro. Maar A Marisqeira is er één van. De kaart is niet bijzonder maar als de gerechten smaken en de prijs redelijk is, is het prima. Ik had de vissoep die smakeloos was en nauwelijks vulling had. Prijs was €6 voor kleine kop. Mijn vrouw had meloen met heel weinig ham voor ook veel te veel geld. Hoofdgerecht van mijn vrouw wad ok. Ik had een entrecote die op zich prima smaakte maar gewoon niet warm genoeg is. En dan €20 voor een kale entrecote is niet best. Ik ken restaurants in Carvoeiro waar entrecote op de steengrill met 3 sausjes voor minder wordt geserveerd. De sangria was wel prima maar dat is niet de dealmaker voor ons. Wij komen hier in ieder geval niet meer terug!

03/11/2024: Had been here before on a lads trip (as recommended by one of the lads) and I wanted to return now with the family, and as the wife loved it too we did two days on the bounce, and both were excellent. The enthusiastic and ever-smiling owner bustles around constantly and the staff are good too. We sat at the round table just inside the door so I couldn’t see into the open plan kitchen, but everything that came out if it was first class on both evenings. Only slight negative was no monkfish on day one but delivery next morning - only it was a bank holiday so no monkfish again BUT that really was not a big issue as there is so much choice on the menu. Fillet steak in particular excellent and reasonably priced, wine great and similarly very reasonable and desserts pretty damn good too. Service good and not rushed so you enjoy a relaxed meal at the speed you wish to eat at. Looking forward to next time already.
