The Ritz em Funchal

Eight of us went to the Ritz Madeira for lunch. Even though it was very busy we managed to get a couple of tables. Service was fine and the food and drinks were good. Great location.

I can relate to many of the reviews. We visited several times during our week’s stay in Funchal. Returning to it because our first visit was excellent (subsequent ones not so good) . We had walked away from an outdoor cafe close by after being ignored for over 30 minutes so it was pleasing to be greeted and orders taken immediately at The Ritz. It is also an excellent location to relax and people watch. On our first visit I had the salmon pasta recommended as a chef speciality - and it certainly is. Plenty of it and served piping hot. Club sandwiches are well presented and the portion size is enough for 2. I was not so impressed on second and third visits. Toasted cheese sandwich was a big disappointment as was the tomato bruschetta. Overall though it is a very good venue with plenty to choose from drinks, snacks, main meals and desserts.

Cheesecake com geleia caseira, que normalmente não é doce! Recomendo muito!

Situado no centro do Funchal, perto do Blandy's e da catedral, o Ritz é um lugar movimentado que oferece de tudo, desde um simples café, petiscos até uma refeição completa. Seus sanduíches têm um ótimo custo-benefício, são grandes e bem recheados. Um ótimo lugar para fazer uma pausa e descansar os pés cansados!

A melhor sangria com vinho branco que já experimentei

Garçons, somos simpáticos e atenciosos. só comemos 2 jarras de sangria espumante, que estava fantástica, cheia de frutas. Os sorvetes e waffles também pareciam deliciosos, por isso pretendemos voltar em breve. A única desvantagem é que os banheiros eram, na melhor das hipóteses, medianos.

Teve um bom lanche aqui. Sundae muito bom!

Excelente custo-benefício e bem localizado.

Comi salada césar de frango e devo dizer que nunca comi uma salada tão boa com tanto molho! Se você quiser visitar este lugar, acho que você definitivamente gostaria!

Pedimos dois drinks e dividimos um risoto, felizmente porque a porção era bem generosa para uma pessoa. A comida era muito boa. A equipe foi amigável, mas a comunicação foi um pouco difícil: alguns só falavam português, outros apenas inglês.
