Ate here twice, food was lovely both times. It was always busy and popular and we seemed to get the last table both times. Food arrived very quickly and service was great.

Absolutely incredible experience. Dropped in here for lunch and found a lovely cool calm spot inside. Had the rose sangria and a sushi platter. We watched the chef prepare it with such care and enthusiasm and it was delicious - great variety of ingredients and really well made. All in all the perfect spot for lunch, service was impeccable and the little glass of Madeira to finish off was a lovely touch. Really affordable for the tourist area as well.

08/09/2024: Aquando da minha visita, apenas tinham bolo do caco com chouriço ou com bacon. Não sei se costumam ter outras opções. A quantidade é muito grande, com cada dose a servir facilmente duas pessoas. A qualidade é boa mas só justifica visitar se se encontrar no Funchal pois pode encontrar outras opções igualmente boas noutros locais.

Palheiro Golf Clubhouse restaurant

10/10/2024: Afternoon tea at Balancal was superbly enjoyable. Very good scones and a light orange cake accompanied with a finger sandwiches. Must reinforce the service from the restaurante staff and the always attentive Mr Mario.
25/09/2024: We enjoyed two lunches and a dinner here. Exemplary cuisine and service at this fine restaurant in the lovely club house, with its terrace and spectacular views. The menu is the same for lunch or dinner, comprising light snacks to substantial meals, with a great choice and value for money. Not only is the food outrageously tasty, but the presentation is eye-catching. Service is first class in all respects. Excellent wine list, including some really fine local offerings. Totally recommendable.
