We were encouraged to go up to the bar by a guy standing outside touting, we said that we weren’t hungry but would just like drinks and he said that we would be more than welcome to just sit and have a drink and that not wouldn’t be a problem. We went up and we were told that we could sit wherever we wished and there were a lot of options. We chose our seat and had a view of the cable cars going up and down and we were given menus and asked if we wished to eat and we said no, just drinks thanks. The waiter seemed to be immediately disappointed and took our drinks order quite quickly but, then it took about 25/30 mins for him to bring them to us. My husband had ordered a beer and I’d ordered a mojito (which I realise takes a bit more time) but, it was a particularly hot day and I’d also asked for a water, which I had hoped might have come out first if the cocktail was going to be a while longer. We were just about to go and ask one of the waiters if it was going to be much longer when we saw them being brought over. There was a private function going on in another room which was obviously taking their attention and the minute we said that we didn’t want food, we felt dismissed so, we had the drink (which was very nice, hence the 3* and because of the view) but, we didn’t stay for another and we wouldn’t go back. We don’t write many bad reviews and we don’t like doing it but, we were very disappointed here we didn’t feel welcome at all, which was a shame because it was our first day and we may have gone back a few more times during our visit had we had a different experience.
