Comida super saborosa e ótimo atendimento em um ambiente lindo. Ideal para gourmets que procuram um jantar culinário ao estilo madeirense. Uma dica: é melhor reservar com antecedência, principalmente nos fins de semana.

Fomos pegos totalmente desprevenidos ao descobrir este lugar ao acaso. Entrada excelente, com um pão feito na casa, manteiga temperada e azeitonas cítricas. Como principal, escolhemos um atum com arroz de alga, estava espetacular. Fica a dúvida, se ao voltar pediria a mesma coisa ou provaria outra (mas a certeza da volta).

Raramente publico, a menos que algo seja muito bom ou muito ruim. Comida excelente em todos os pratos. Além disso, até a "mesa do chef" (ou seja, o bar onde colocam as pessoas que não fizeram reserva) era excelente, pois dava para ver todos os pratos sendo preparados e ficar com vontade de comer mais. Parece ser um restaurante irmão/ligado ao Theo na esquina, mas este é infinitamente melhor. Altamente recomendado.

Experimentamos este restaurante por acaso e ficamos positivamente surpresos! A recepção já foi ótima e, apesar do cartaz estar quase cheio, encontramos um lugar para comer e: no bar! Com vista direta para a cozinha, era ótimo! A comida era excelente e com uma ótima relação custo-benefício (sim, sim, comemos em outro lugar por um preço mais alto e ela nem estava cozida...) Você pode sentir que aqui os pratos são pesquisados ​​e preparados, além disso, os garçons reservam um tempo para aconselhar e explicar cada prato/vinho... Brilhante, recomendo e mal posso esperar para experimentar os outros restaurantes do mesmo chef 😋

On vient ici pour la viande. Elle est de grande qualité, cuite à la perfection. Les prix sont ici nettement plus élevés que la moyenne des restaurants, mais sont entièrement justifiés par la qualité et le service. La carte des vins, pour les amateurs, est à la hauteur de la cuisine. Vous avez un sommelier pour vous guider dans les productions portugaises qui sont mises à l'honneur.

From the moment I was seated at the chef's table in Kampo, I knew I was in for an exceptional evening. The expansive counter, filled with fellow diners, offered a lively atmosphere, and the best part was watching the dishes being prepared. It gave me a real sense of the menu and helped me decide what to try. The sourdough bread—wow! It was simply unforgettable. I wish they sold it as a takeaway; it was that good. I started with two appetizers: the “deconstructed oxtail ravioli” and the foie gras with banana and passion fruit—both creative and flavorful. To finish, the dark chocolate dessert was a perfect finale, and the glass of red wine was so smooth and drinkable it was almost dangerous! If I had to nitpick, I’d suggest replacing the laminated QR code menu with something more elegant. I noticed a paper food and cocktail menu board being presented to some guests, but I wasn’t offered it until I returned two days later. Additionally, swapping out the paper towels for cotton ones would elevate the experience further, as the paper ones felt out of place in an otherwise luxurious setting. The staff were professional and polite throughout, and my experience was so fantastic that we vowed to return—and we did. On our second visit, we managed to snag a late lunch slot at 4:15 p.m., and it was even better, although admittedly, it took a while to be seated. With fewer guests, the service was even more attentive, and the food once again exceeded expectations. The white chocolate and black olive dessert was a revelation—so incredible it nearly brought me to tears. My advice? Be adventurous and try something unexpected—you won’t regret it. I absolutely loved Kampo. It was the highlight of our Christmas break, and I would return to Madeira in a heartbeat just to dine here again. Sensational in every way, and undoubtedly, the best on the island once a few minor tweaks are addressed.
