Erva Restaurante & Bar em Lisboa

09/01/2025: I go to Lisbon often, but for several years avoided this restaurant. It just looked a bit snobbish and I had the foolish opinion that the staff might think they are more important than the customer. I also applied the flawed thinking that the restaurant was so beautiful, that the food might be an after thought. Well, I have been absolutely incorrect on all counts. I have visited the restaurant seven times in the past two years. Each experience was better than the last. I love the staff, they are professional, yet warm and seem to have a knack for knowing what type of customer they find sitting in front of you. They adapt to different personalities with ease. The food is fantastic. I suggest you go with whatever you most desire. My favorites are the Algarve white shrimp carpaccio with salmon roe and the sea bass ceviche with lime as appetizers. For mains, I am partial to the grilled tuna with razor clam rice, the prawns in red curry sauce, the grilled sole, or the codfish gratin. Great cocktails and wine list that is not too hard on the wallet. Great variety by the glass, which I suggest to sample some finds you will not have back in the states
