Bistrô Gato Pardo em Lisboa

05/09/2024: We visited this restaurant after reading other great reviews on Tripadvisor and it certainly didn’t disappoint! From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive but unobtrusive. They gave some great advice about wine choices, recommending one of the cheaper wines which was delicious! Although the restaurant frontage is very plain and would be easy to miss, the interior feels high quality and there was a great buzz - the restaurant was full on the Monday night we visited. The food was delicious and the portions large. Our waiter asked before putting the couvert down and that was delicious meaning we didn’t need a starter. We had bread rolls, amazing soft cheese, oil and balsamic vinegar and some croquettes with beef. Our main courses were also delicious. We chose a rare beef salad, slow cooked black pork and a deconstructed tiger prawn and sea bass stew. We finished with a hot chocolate soufflé to share. It’s fair to say we were blown away with the restaurant and it was easily the best meal of our visit to Lisbon. We hadn’t booked and were lucky that as we went quite early they managed to squeeze us in but I would definitely recommend booking.

14/08/2024: Visita improvável em almoço de trabalho desvendou uma sala bem arranjada por trás do Campo Pequeno. Menu adequado, assente em cozinha portuguesa bem confeccionada. A rever: tarifa de extras Serviço atento e rápido. Boa opção!
