24/09/2024: Just coming to the end of our holiday, but this was our third visit to Pickwicks - this evening I ordered the chicken curry, which was excellent and in fact much tastier than the on I had in the Indian restaurant nearby - dishes I can recommend are 1. Chicken curry 2. Baby back ribs 3. Minced beef & onion pie ( homemade) - great place to have a beer & eat good food - we’ll be back

16/09/2024: Its always a pleasure to call in and see Nick and staff.We called in with some good friends to begin with.Everybody ordered the Red wine Sangria apart from me,I stuck with my usual.Nicks soup of the day Super Bock Beer.Im from Yorkshire and stuck in my ways.But the Sangria must have been good,because the first jug was soon polished off.And a replacement ordered. We did pay some more visits during the following days of our holiday.It was good to see Tyler again ( Nicks son ),we had a couple of midday snacks,which were more than filling on an afternoon. Its always good to call and see all those friends faces ( apart from Donna) Who does the morning shift.I wish them all good luck in the future and keep up the good work.Seeyou all again next year.

25/10/2024: Passing by looked in and looked all clean and fresh.Chairs were cushioned and on castors. I ordered Prawn/ Chicken salad it arrived and filled a very large plate it was excellent plenty of fresh prawns and chicken and fresh salad very tasty also ordered small portion of chips and these were not oven chips again very good. My better half had cheese and ham toastie it was not greasy in any way again very good and apparently it contained very good ham. Very friendly server . Would thoroughly recommend.

20/10/2024: What amazing food. We tried here while staying in a Pine Cliffs Suite. The onsite restaurants are exorbitantly expensive, but gems of a restaurant like this are on the doorstep. We had tapas - bread, butter, olives, figs in bacon, lanoustine, beef, fish cakes and chorizo. All I can describe it as is wow. And all for 65 euros with beer, wine and a soft drink. The custmer service is spot on. We will definitely return before we go home.

21/10/2024: Mi hermano gemelo y yo nos dirigíamos a la hermosa Praia De Oura cuando con temperaturas que alcanzan los 30 grados centígrados decidimos dejarnos caer. J's Café Bar y que gran hallazgo. Entrando y sabía que disfrutaría de mi visita aquí, el interior es magnífico, luminoso y aireado, decoración y mobiliario encantador, un bar llamativo y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este bar tanto dentro como fuera mirando a las calles concurridas y bulliciosas alrededor de ser. J's Café Bar. Nos sentamos afuera donde un miembro muy agradable del equipo del bar tomó nuestro pedido de botellas de cerveza de la Cervecería Central De Cervejas ( cerveza Sagres ) y estas cervezas se servían en excelentes condiciones siendo heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y tomamos el sol mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Esta es una de las grandes marcas de cerveza de Portugal, una cerveza dorada, ligera y estilo lager de lúpulo rebosante de sabor y muy fácil de beber sobre todo cuando se sirve helada fría como en este bar, no es de extrañar que este bar sea tan popular entre las cervezas servidas en esta buena condición. Ambos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz por primera vez visita para ser. J's Café Bar nos lo pasamos muy bien. ser. El J's Café Bar está situado en Rua Ramalho Ortigao D'Agua. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 8 a.m. 30 am. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

20/10/2024: Solo aquí tomando algo de comida y bebidas con la familia después de un día en la playa, bebidas refrescantes y comida muy agradable. Toastie & chips & crepes con chocolate y helado, Lugar en el lugar cuando haya terminado en la arena 👍🏻

17/10/2024: We went here on our last day here in Lagos for breakfast, we both had the English Breakfast with an iced coffee, and the experience was so good we ended up going back for lunch the same day! The food was fresh, well seasoned, and one of the best meals (both times round) we had during our time in Lagos. The portions were generous and the price made it extremely good value. As for the service, this was absolutely exceptional. The gentleman who served us both times made sure we were well cared for, and was good to have a laugh with. We would recommend Harleys as somewhere in Lagos not to be missed! Food and service 5*s all round! Would definitely go back if in Lagos again 🤩🤩🤩🤩

30/08/2024: After hunting unsuccesfully for some specific places He found on Trip Advisor, we decided this looked like a good bet for brunch - location, vibe and cost wise. I liked that the menu was not too comprehensive as, in our experience, places with a smaller range of food, do it better. I chose a Small Breakfast and was enjoying my 'coffee with milk' when a plate came out with a good amount of salad on it, alongside cheese, ham and a delicious sprinkling of fruit, I thought they had got the order wrong. But no, it was correct, and was shortly joined by a basket of breads and spreads and a large orange juice. More food than I had planned on, but too good not to finish! He had a Frango BLT - made up of two delicious buns with the best BLT ingredients ever, and fries. No complaints from that side of the table either. By the time we were eating, all the outside table were full, and it was a great corner to people watch from. As seems usual though, in our limited Portugal experience, they were in no hurry to move us on, so we were able to take our time finishing, and enjoy the ambience.

30/09/2024: Cervejaria Granfinus on Av.25 de Abril was one of the many pub/bars and restaurants we visited on our holiday in Albufeira and it was very busy when we visited here early in the afternoon. We haven't been to Albufeira for five year's and the last time we where in this resort me and my twin brother visited this superb bar and restaurant.This place offers a range of well priced food and drink and is a real joy to visit. This bar and restaurant has a brilliant look and feel with nice local decor and has first and ground floor seating area's and it has a fantastic outside terrace and it was very busy when we visited here. When we visited here we had a few glasses of local beers which were served iced cold and were very well priced. Cervejaria Granfinus is a fantastic bar and restaurant that's located in a brilliant area of the old town thats well worth a visit if you are around this area.(This is my first review of Cervejaria Granfinus). 18/07/2024: Nice food and service. Best Restaurant in Albufeira. Tasty American burger and cheese burger and kids pizza. Also have lots of cooktles here. I will come back again

25/06/2024: Fantastic steak pie, gorgeous gravy (which from a Manchester lass is praise itself!) and the biggest and totally delicious chips. Crammed full of melt in the mouth steak, never had a pie so full of meat and so tasty. Perfect pre Euro match meal 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

12/10/2024: I really don't understand all these positive reviews that people write here about Taffy's. But I also realize that the majority are Brits without taste buds. Waited almost an hour for a burger, mozarella sticks, onion rings and fries. The waiter claimed that it was because ''everything is done from scratch'' which is absolute BS. We also had to ask ourselves what was going on with our lunch instead of the waitors coming up to us and apologizing for the time it had taken. It was the worst lunch I've ever eaten. When I ordered cheesy fries I thought it would be e.g. runny cheddar over the fries, but no. The fries were soft and had cheese that was stiff on them, I didn't even eat half because it was honestly the most disgusting fries I've ever tasted. Everything else tasted soaked in oil and I left a lot on the plate. If you want to have a good lunch or dinner, this is the last place to eat at in Portimao. Absolutely not recommended if you actually appreciate good food.

10/10/2024: Excellent food,lovely friendly staff,great value for money. Great selection of gluten free options and staff very knowledgeable about gluten free options. Food here was so good that we ate here 6 times during our 10 day stay.
