06/11/2024: Lille hyggelig restaurant som vi besøgte en november aften. Ude servering med 7 små borde.
Maden smagte godt, betjeningen var god. Bistroen var velbesøgt.
23/10/2024: We picked out this restaurant without prior research from the dozens around central Funchal because it had a short menu and didn’t use photographs to explain itself. It had a whiff of authenticity amongst the similar offerings of everything elsewhere. We were not disappointed in either the food, wine or service. It wasn’t quick. We had the taste and ambience of food cooked to order, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Atendimento caloroso, ambiente familiar, comida excelente!
Não tem como não vir cá almoçar ou jantar.
Aconselho provar a poncha, senão for a melhor do Funchal, está lá muito perto!

18/05/2025: Abbiamo mangiato qui una decina di giorni fa, il cibo era veramente buono io ho preso pesce spada con banana fritta che mi è piaciuto veramente tanto. Abbiamo bevuto sangria de maracuja veramente buono e per antipasto comune dei gamberoni molto buoni direi. La comanda è stata gestita abbastanza velocemente ,il prezzo ragionevole! Il locale è semplice ma l'importante è mangiare bene! Buona cena o pranzo a voi popolo di TripAdvisor!

05/05/2025: Newly opened within the Alto Lido Hotel the Tale Restaurant offers exceptionally good plates of food from a very select menu, from the taster nibbles through to the the deserts everyone was in agreement that this was in our top two meals
Very attentive waiting staff combined with the skills and flavours from the chef and his team made this a memorable evening
Highly recommend you give this a try
