22/04/2025: Sehr nette Bedienung… wir haben feijonada de marisco gegessen. War leider eine große Enttäuschung… Hat nur nach Bohneneintopf ohne Gewürze geschmeckt… der Koch hat sich wenig bemüht…

26/03/2025: Das Tamar liegt etwas abseits im Dorf und ist vielleicht schonmal deshalb nicht sehr frequentiert. Vielleicht will man auch gar nicht viele Gäste? Das junge Team war ausgesprochen nett, aber die Qualität der Speisen.... Zu Beginn bekamen wir sehr saure Maiskörner auf den Tisch gestellt. Wir bestellten dann die Espetadas (Fleisch-Spieße) mit Fritten und Salat. (Alles kostet extra). Die Fleischspieße sollten Medium sein, mein Spieß war allerdings teilweise noch rare. Außerdem war das Fleisch wirklich sehr zäh. Auf den kalten Tellern serviert kühlte alles auch sehr schnell ab. Fritten und Salat waren okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Der sehr nette Service bekommt von uns Plus-Punkte, wegen des Essens muss man nicht hierher gehen.

23/02/2025: Un attrape touriste ! Le prix des salades est élevé pour la quantité proposée.(9€ pour une petite assiette de tomate avec fromage) Rapport qualité prix cher. A souligner tout de même la gentillesse du serveur

20/12/2024: We had a chance to visit local adegas in Azores but never one in Madeira so it was cool to get this local experience. The place is very scenic too and it's away from other buildings/town making the visit even more pleasant. An added bonus is that it's really on the way to some very nice vista points on the west coast so you can easily combine the visit. The gentlemen that owns this adega gave us some wine samples, and his rum as well - this is not the "Madeira" wine you are thinking off but more traditional version of wine but I wouldn't call it red wine either - it's more of a fruity type of wine, it's hard to describe, we didn't love it nor hate it, just not our thing, but that rum! I took 2 bottles with me! We paid cash for everything and the prices were very reasonable The drip from the main road is fine so don't worry about the arrival - we had an SUV but I would easily take the drive in a small passenger car as well

26/06/2025: Gluten free cake incorrectly marked. I was excited to see a slice of chocolate cake prewrapped marked clearly with a sticker sem gluten however when I unwrapped it to eat it I noticed the ingredients on the reverse clearly stating it contained gluten. I immediately returned it to the member of staff quite upset and annoyed. He did apologise and refunded me but I was more bothered about him taking the rest of them off the shelf which he said he would do. He informed me that it had been incorrectly marked by their supplier and should have said “vegan” and he would let them know. It’s so hard to find any cakes etc which are gluten free here so I was bitterly disappointed, and very angry that catering companies can make this mistake. The other cakes my family had were described as dry.

26/05/2025: Este es un buen lugar para relajarse y disfrutar del ambiente de exuberantes jardines tropicales. Vimos algunas especies diferentes de aves que parecían amigables. La comida es decente y el servicio estaba bien. Tomamos té y el pastel de miel.

06/04/2025: El servicio aquí era excelente. La comida era deliciosa y los precios eran más que razonables. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra visita 😊

18/03/2025: Wir haben eure den traditionellen madeirensischen Espetada Fleischspieß und den Espada com Banana Fisch gegessen. Da die Portionen nicht ganz so üppig waren, folgte ein Maracuja Pudding und ein Eis mit Madeira Wein.

18/04/2025: Este fue nuestro restaurante favorito que visitamos 3 veces. V buen pescado. Tenía la ensalada de ternera Espetada en pinchos con patatas fritas e 17. V carne de vacuno de buena calidad . también recomendaría las sardinas. Personal amable.

09/03/2025: Il primo pranzo a Funchal è stato in questo ristorante a due passi dalla cattedrale, l'abbiamo scelto, attirati dal menù e dalla musica dal vivo. Abbiamo mangiato all'aperto vista l'ottima giornata, gustando due ottimi piatti di espada, il pesce tipico di questa zona, accompagnato da un ottimo vino verde portoghese.

10/05/2025: Espaço agradável para reunir amigos ou família. Infelizmente, o erviço já foi muito melhor e mais cuidado. Na última vez que lá estivemos, o funcionário não nos entendia sendo necessário apontar a ementa. O nosso serviço foi descuidado com troca de pratos por outras mesas, comida fria. O polvo de cebolada veio tipo borracha, sabor menos natural, o tomate sabia ao de conserva! Esperamos 1h pelo pedido feito às 14h15, horário menos concorrido! A conta quando solicitada foi rapidamente trazida.

01/03/2025: Unfortunately food quality was poor, we tried traditional and fish soup, also for the dessert caramel pudding and a passion fruit pie, cost of the food and quality are not balanced.
