14/11/2024: Fabulous view down to the coast, but service was slow and black pork was served literally on its own with only a bowl of crisps as ‘vegetables’. We asked for an extra side salad, but there was barely enough for one; there were 7 of us. Very disappointing and not cheap either.

07/11/2024: Einfach großartig Wir haben uns vom Kellner inspirieren lassen, portugiesische Spezialitäten aus der Region zu essen.

09/10/2024: Called in at this restaurant after a visit to Mt Foia. Friendly and welcoming. Sat on the terrace and had chicken piri piri, chips and salad with a 500ml beer and half a bottle of vino verde., preceded by olives and Portuguese carrots with bread. Lovely food and a great waitress/ owner from SA; very bubbly and efficient. Arrived at one and only another couple there, but by 2:15 it was full including a party of 10 with 2 young children. But they coped and very one seemed happy. Our typical type of Portugal lunch, informal but chilled too despite the crowd, including the €30 bill.

04/10/2024: We have been here a few times before Covid and it has changed hands and got some negative reviews but I have to say the new guys have cracked it, the chicken piri piri was excellent a great atmosphere and the same fantastic views We will definitely be back again

10/11/2024: Accoglienza molto gentile, e cordiale, anche se spartana come si conviene al luogo. Si mangiano bene cose molto semplici, curate alla perfezione. Anche la grigliata mista è cotta al posto giusto, tenere e croccate contemporaneamente. Se ci si arriva al sabato e alla domenica le cose cambiano in meglio e ci sono piatti tipici e non comuni come la guancia di maiale “faceiro de porco”, i secretos de porco e altre amenità. Buona scelta di vini a prezzi molto onesti e dolci abbastanza leggeri, per essere in Portogallo. Se girate per funghi, castagne, mirto e boschi in genere vi suggerisco di non mancare la sosta prima di tornare sull’Atlantico che scintilla una decina di chilometri all’orizzonte. Non accettano carte di credito, ma questa può essere una buona idea per tenere lontani turisti “mordi e fuggi”.

24/10/2024: We chanced upon this place first one down the hill and were greeted by two ladies who made us most welcome under the cedar tree. I persuaded my wife to have the rabbit stew for two and even the sceptic praised it. We could not have had better food attention or view from the terrace. Go there if you can

24/10/2024: Après une randonnée décevante pour cause de temps très brumeux, notre passage au Café Vintage a largement rattrapé notre journée. Accueil chaleureux, plats délicieux et ambiance très sympathique. Mention spéciale pour le poulpe grillé, les patates bravas et le cheese cake. Nous avons vraiment passé un bon moment !

04/10/2024: Un bonito lugar, las porciones tipo tapas. Variedades de vinos. El pago es solo en efectivo, no dan aviso de eso, tenerlo en cuenta.

06/10/2024: Excellente adresse que nous recommandons après 4 dîners pris lors de notre séjour à Caldas de Monchique. Les plats sont très bons et copieux (trop?), l'accueil est excellent et le personnel très agréable.

30/09/2024: Buena comida por un precio decente. Tuve que esperar un poco a que llegara la comida, pero valió la pena. Restaurante típico portugués en la carretera.
