18/09/2024: Su hija celebró su boda aquí. Absolutamente fantástico - que día maravilloso. El personal se destacó y la comida era increíble. Un lugar perfecto para un día perfecto.

03/08/2024: Petit restaurant typique portugais. Le patron parle le français. De l’entrée au dessert la cuisine est très bonne avec un excellent rapport qualité prix. Dans une rue piétonne calme et ombragée proche du marché. Je recommande à 100%!

05/04/2024: Estou em Portugal há cerca de dois anos e não fiquei muito impressionado com nenhum dos restaurantes que frequentei. Aí meus amigos me levaram aqui - excelência! Ótimo serviço com equipe profissional, boa comida, ambiente incrível e uma experiência geral estelar! Definitivamente vale a pena o esforço e o dinheiro.

23/09/2024: We were recommended this restaurant by some friends who had visited a few weeks ago and we decided to reserve a table whilst on a trip to Vilamoura in mid-Sept. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the owner Joao or John to his English customers, as we can never pronounce his real name properly 😀. All 4 of us loved the food from the starters (delicious garlic prawns & a prawn salad with avocado mousse) to the main courses which were a combination of the very highly praised turbot, monkfish medallions and fillet steak. Finally we went for John’s famous homemade ice cream, which was very moreish. There is a reason why this restaurant has been running since John opened it in 1983 and we will definitely be back next time we visit this area.

29/08/2024: All four of us had a great meal The wine was recommended by the owner and it was delicious . Two starters , four mains , two puddings all to die for . Sea Bass , 2 fillet steak dishes both cooked to perfection , lamb well received too . Very light but intense chocolate mousse and the ‘house ‘ ice cream is a must , it’s not just ice cream. Try it . We will be going back later in the holiday .

13/10/2024: Alambique is an 'old haunt' of ours and a recent visit has shown that Paulo and his team have not lost their touch. The amazing Adelino created and developed this restaurant many years ago and he is still involved with Paulo in this superb family run restaurant. A significant proportion of the profits have been reinvested over the years, including a fabulous garden - for an outdoor table and/or pre dinner drinks - complementing the excellent food, wine and service. We really enjoyed our visit the other day and we will be back soon.

29/09/2024: Adelino and Paulo always give us a wonderful evening! From the moment you walk into this restaurant you feel special! A warm welcome, superb setting, well trained and discreet staff, but very knowledgable especially with the wine selection! The Beef Stroganoff was sublime, the lamb cooked to perfection and a generous selection of vegetables! As it was a birthday celebration we chose a crepe suzette to share, worth every calorie, but oh soo good! Thank you both for yet another evening to remember! Your staff do you proud!! ❤️❤️

19/09/2024: Este lugar é exelente para um bom almoço, foi dos sítios mais rápidos que recebi a comida até aos dias de hojes, o atendimento é mais que 5 estrelas e são muito simpáticos! A comida é muito boa e saborosa, comemos um excelente bife de vitela e um arroz de polvo incrível!

18/09/2024: A delightful Portuguese restaurant. Traditional Portuguese food, welcoming and helpful staff, easy parking, good clean loos. A great stop-off on the 125 near the Vilamoura turn off.

17/09/2024: Definitely worth a try if you find yourself in loule! I have dined here before on quite a few occasions over the years! It’s popular with locals and tourists which is a great sign! My last visit was delightful, love the food, salads, chicken dishes ,and ample choice of beer and wine taboot! The staff were wonderful and friendly, a special Thank you to the lovely young lady from Venezuela who looked after us so well.

21/08/2024: Lekker eten, voordelig (eigenlijk onbegrijpelijk dat je zo veel lekker eten voor die prijs kan krijgen) vriendelijke bediening. Wij hadden o.a. de mixed grill en de kip piri piri, en niet te vergeten de lekkere appeltaart! De worstjes vonden we niet zo lekker, maar dat is persoonlijk. Ze waren wel goed. Aanrader!

18/10/2024: This is our favourite tapas in the area. The food is wonderful and a great choice. Service is always good. Wines - there are plenty!

01/10/2024: It was the worst customer service experience I've ever had to endure. I followed up through the hotel's website to give feedback and have not heard back from them which says it all. My husband and I popped by intending to enjoy an afternoon of cocktails to celebrate our anniversary. It was relatively busy, mostly with golfing groups, but plenty of staff working. The cocktail menu is extensive covering all the classics as well as a separate booklet of golf-themed drinks - all looked very promising. We ordered with the waitress and waited 10 minutes. The first drink (a small tumbler made up mostly of a giant ice block) arrived. No sign of the second drink. Five minutes or so pass and another waitstaff pops by to deliver the same cocktail again. I explain I've ordered a kir royale and he scurries off taking the drink with him. We wait about ten minutes before I flag down a waitress to enquire as to the whereabouts of my drink. Without any apology, she explains they have been unable to find any ingredients for the kir royale and asks if I would like to order another drink. I explained I'd been waiting a long time to be told this and that my husbands nearly finished his drink. Instead of any apology or sympathy, she smirked and simply asked again if I would like to order another drink. By this point, we were not in any mood to stay and paid for our single cocktail and left. The very least the bar could have done was offer something complimentary, although ideally they would have let us know about the issue before delivering the first solitary cocktail and I'd have happily changed my order. It doesn't seem that they care about any parties bar those who are there for golf. Incredibly unprofessional for a luxury resort bar.

14/09/2024: First impressions were really good…lovely modern contemporary restaurant. We had the chefs special. I had Caesar salad to start with and asked the waitress if it was a chicken Caesar? And she confirmed it was. When it came it was a boiled EGG Caesar salad! Can’t stand egg…so after picking it out, the rest of the salad was nice. Had a fish main with new potatoes in a cream sauce, which was tasty and a trio of chocolate mousse for dessert which was lovely. Over all the service was ok apart from one waiter who took plates away before all our party had finished. I finished off with a cosmopolitan cocktail, which was expensive and in a very small glass! I would return …just avoid the tiny expensive cocktails !

19/08/2023: Muito bom! Só não dei 5 estrelas porque faltou alguma música ambiente . Mas aconselho sem dúvida. Atendimento top e comida boa! A bebida então sempre fresquinha seja álcool ou outras bebidas não alcoólicas!

21/09/2024: Under new ownership from what was previously a family-run affair to a new chap running the place. Steaks were really nice, but we were 1 of 3 tables in there. Really think this needs to get back the old atmosphere to be a good place to eat again, as without the water fountain you’d be eating without any background noise. Shame really, as the steak was genuinely good.

24/08/2024: Em relação ao atendimento os funcionários eram impecáveis e muito prestáveis, e o local era bastante agradável. Contudo, a comida não correspondeu às expectativas assim como o tempo de espera pela mesma.
