12/12/2024: This is our second memorable meal from Gaspacho & Migas. The first was one they catered at a sunset dinner in a winery setting with live Jazz music. This time, we enjoyed a fado night in their lovely restaurant in Lagoa. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Everything on our prix fix menu was prepared with care and beautifully plated. Flavours were magnificent! We had a delightful experience. We Canadians highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

20/11/2024: Uma pérola no Algarve. Espaço muito cuidado. Ambiente calmo e descontraído, com muito bom atendimento. A comida é digna de estrela, pratos muitíssimo bem confeccionados. A carta tem varias opções diversificadas. Optima carta de vinhos.

29/08/2024: Gosto de comer aqui, e quando estou no Algarve venho aqui e como demais todas as suas deliciosas e variadas comidas. O casal é adorável e tem muito gosto pelo ambiente e tem muito gosto por vinhos e decorações. Perfeito para ter uma ótima experiência gastronômica para experiências íntimas a dois, mas também para grandes grupos. Definitivamente voltando. Obrigado!

29/11/2024: Comimos aquí dos veces durante nuestro breve descanso en Portugal. Este restaurante nos lo recomendó un amigo que va regularmente. Un menú variado con muchas opciones, especialmente mariscos y vinos a buen precio. Gran comida, vino y servicio - recomendaría.

24/11/2024: Very small portions. The food was normal nothing special. It was probably just heated on the microwave. Was expecting to eat dinner ended up leaving totally unsatisfied

07/11/2024: Comimos aquí varias veces y la comida siempre es buena. Nos gusta especialmente el pulpo tempura y la tabla del Algarve. El servicio es bueno, los precios son justos. Asegúrese de reservar con antelación.

24/10/2024: Kleine, aber feine Karte - wir sind auf Grund der vegetarischen Gerichte, die man in Portugal nur sehr schwer bekommt, hier hergekommen, und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Sehr lecker und ausgefallene Gerichte

22/09/2024: Wir haben unsere Ferienwohnung auf der anderen Straßenseite und sind heute nach einem Spaziergang dort eingekehrt. Das Ambiente ist einfach, an der Straße gelegen, Plastiktüte draußen, recht ungemütliche zu helle Beleuchtung. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Brot, Butter, Sardinen-Pate und Oliven. Das Brot okay, Butter und Sardinen-Pate aus der Portionspackung..... wir erwarteten schlimmeres!! Die Oliven waren aber sehr lecker und gut eingelegt! Die helle Sangria war auch lecker, aber nicht spektakulär. Dafür war der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich!! Dann kam der Hauptgang. Für mich Sirloin vom Schwein mit Spiegelei, fritierten Kartoffelscheiben und Knoblauch - das Fleisch zart, die Kartoffeln knusprig, die Soße lecker. Für meine Frau Thunfischsteak mit Tomaten-Paprika-Soße, Kartoffeln und einem kleinen Salat. Der war frisch und lecker, die Kartoffel okay.... und der Thunfisch war unglaublich!!! Butterzart, außen knusprig, innen weich, frisch, die Soße unglaublich geschmackvoll - einfach ein Gedicht!!! Danach gab es noch einen Ginjinha (leckerer Sauerkisch-Likör) aufs Haus und dann die Rechnung. Gute 53 Euro waren für die Leistung und das super Essen absolut in Ordnung! Danke Servi-Vau!!! Wir kommen wieder!

04/11/2024: Had tried to get here last year but couldn’t get a table , so very happy we managed to get booked this year, unfortunately the weather was against us last Friday night , got there in a taxi as it was torrential rain, on arrival greeted by nice young couple who showed us to our table , once seated we could feel that there was a problem with water ingress onto our table but they tried their best to Mop it up , so onto the food . Starter was nice egg yolk with peas very tasty but only luke warm , my main of Lamb would have been sensational if agin was not luke warm, the problem is I think by the time the meals are traversed from kitchen to main dinning area the food cools down , more so on a terrible night weather wise, the wine pairing for us wasn’t as we would have expected and the price for the wine pairing was €35 per head , not worth it imo. Over all the windmill is a very one off place to experience but they need to up their game a bit regarding cold plates, and cost of wines if they want to get that top spot as the Dom Carlos did for many years our favourite place in Albuferia .

02/11/2024: We visited here last night. It was very heavy rain and when we arrived some water had got through on to our table. The waitress dried it up for us. The food presentation was superb. I had the scallop started and the duck main followed by two deserts which we shared. Hubby had the egg starter and lamb main. We opted for wine pairing but the main wine wasn’t to my taste so we swapped and both enjoyed each others. The service was good and food well prepared. Only slight criticism was some of the duck was perfect and other parts were a bit too rare and not that warm. However a beautiful setting and experience to cherish. Would i recommend? Absolutely.

30/09/2024: Außergewöhnlich gutes Essen, viele vegetarische Gerichte aber auch Burger in tollen Variationen. Top Service. Eine Küchentheke zum Niederknien

27/09/2024: Wir hatten einen Burger ( sehr lecker, aber auch große) und Spiegelei auf Naan - beides sehr lecker und eine schöne Abwechslung.

24/09/2024: Pessoas fantásticas, simpáticas e bom astral. Notei organização e rapidez nos serviços. Boa esplanada , agradável ambiente, no entanto acho que a cozinha não deveria estar tão exposta a sala interior. Quantidades generosas e preço muito justo. Sucesso.

14/11/2024: Fabulous view down to the coast, but service was slow and black pork was served literally on its own with only a bowl of crisps as ‘vegetables’. We asked for an extra side salad, but there was barely enough for one; there were 7 of us. Very disappointing and not cheap either.

20/09/2024: Recebidos pelo chef Hugo Nascimento, sentamo nos com uma Incrível vista ao anoitecer, para as casas do moinho e o próprio moinho. Todos, mas todos os pratos que nos foram servidos estavam excecionais. Igualmente excecional o staff. Preço super super justo!! Voltaremos!!

07/09/2024: The entire experience was awful. We were hiking the Rota Vicentina and staying at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt pressured. Did we want the tasting menu for £60 or go to the tapas bar or figure out how to get to another restaurant. We were exhausted-and made a reservation. The entire experience was horrible. We were rushed , the food wasn’t excellent, it wasn’t explained properly and it wasn’t an overwhelming Michelin experience It was overpriced as well. We had been to several restaurants along the hike which were outstanding! So this was an expensive experience we wouldn’t recommend!

10/08/2024: A comida mais fantástica e acabada de fazer que comemos em Albufeira. Este é um restaurante familiar, onde até a sangria é caseira. Acabamos indo para lá três dias seguidos de tanto que gostamos. Se você deseja comida portuguesa fresca e autêntica, este é o lugar para você.

29/07/2024: O atendimento e a comida ESPETACULARES!!! A atenção recebida tanto do garçom quanto da cozinheira que veio nos explicar e perguntar se estava tudo bem, foi tremenda. Comida sem palavras. A foto diz isso. Não deixamos nada, exceto um pouco de salada. A carne de porco à portuguesa e a sangria são recomendadas.

27/10/2024: Endroit atypique et très convivial avec un menu très accessible mais surtout très bon. Je recommande ce restaurant. Les patrons sont super sympas et savent mettre l'ambiance. De surplus ils parlent français. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir

15/10/2024: Conocido por Augustinio que tenía una sola pregunta; ¿carne o pescado? Elegí pescado, que era el final de cualquier lucha de decisión por el resto de la noche. Lo que siguió fue un flujo constante de impresionantes productos locales. Pan, sopa, ensalada, tomates (tomates para morir) , patatas fritas delicadamente y el trozo de resistencia, capturado localmente, ese día, Besugo. Después vino un roulade de almendras muy equilibrado, café, brandy y la factura. La factura es de 20€. La comida estaba increíblemente preparada. El servicio inmediato y atento pero nunca demasiado asfixiante. Volveré y espero que cualquiera que visite Quarteira en el Algarve también lo haga. Podría hacer tu viaje.

17/10/2024: Heerlijk eten! Goed restaurant met prima sfeer. Fijn buiten de drukte van het centrum van Albufeira. Goede betaalbare kaart. De ribeye is heerlijk. Het restaurant is mooi van binnen, fijne sfeer en attente bediening. Aanrader!

14/09/2024: Restaurante muito agradável,serviço muito bom, com um toque familiar.Bastante agradável,todo o staff é super atencioso. A decoração do interior da sala é soberba. Uma exposição e seleção de vinhos excelente. A repetir.
