10/10/2024: The service was outstanding and the food was fun, creative, and delicious! We loved their versions of gazpacho and the tapas plate for two was amazing. The lime semifredo was a masterpiece as advertised! Awesome job by the kitchen and front of the house to make this a truly special experience

05/10/2024: Last night we had an amazing dinner here. The food was so flavorful and uniquely presented. Were very impressed with the compound butters beautifully presented and their taste. The Octopus was Devine, as was the Corvina. Loved the different flavors of the Tapas, and my pear on brioche & ice cream was delicious! The service was friendly and superb. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable meal.

29/08/2024: Gosto de comer aqui, e quando estou no Algarve venho aqui e como demais todas as suas deliciosas e variadas comidas. O casal é adorável e tem muito gosto pelo ambiente e tem muito gosto por vinhos e decorações. Perfeito para ter uma ótima experiência gastronômica para experiências íntimas a dois, mas também para grandes grupos. Definitivamente voltando. Obrigado!

04/11/2024: Nous avons adoré l’expérience Les proprios sont adorables et très accueillants les plats choisis étaient délicieux :porc noir ,côtelettes d’agneau et poisson cataplana De plus vous pouvez boire le vin maison à même la barrique et ils étaient très bon surtout le rouge et nous sommes partis avec 2 bouteilles de rouge

03/11/2024: I have been to this place several times in the last two years. Unbelievably fine menu, preparation, presentation and flavors. The value is as good as it gets, and the wine is flowing. The staff is friendly and multilingual. Treat yourself to this restaurant!

28/09/2024: We love this restaurant. The best food we have eaten in the algarve. Fantastic food and service. If you are going you have to get the ribeye steak or the slow roasted pork. The best steak we have ever had. Recommend the Sauvignon blanc if you like white wine, served nice and cold. We will miss this food when we leave. Highly recommend to all 👍🏻

22/09/2024: What a fabulous find. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the food is by far the best we have had in the last 7 days in Praia Da Rocha. We only have a fews days left but will definitely return before we head home. Steak was melt in your mouth and the food tasted so fresh.

17/10/2024: absolutely a must if you want a real Portugal restaurant with genuine people who are just lovely. food is out of this world at extremely fair prices you will want to give a 15 to 20% tip. I know i do. I just think if your a local you already know what I mean, but if your new to Almancil and looking for great food, excellent prices with a little bit of entertainment then this is the place to try and your be back again. Enjoy

24/10/2024: Kleine, aber feine Karte - wir sind auf Grund der vegetarischen Gerichte, die man in Portugal nur sehr schwer bekommt, hier hergekommen, und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Sehr lecker und ausgefallene Gerichte

21/09/2024: Servizio un po’ lento, menù un po’ misero, ma nel complesso ho mangiato bene. Prezzi bassissimi , onesti. Una delle cene più economiche, nella via centrale del paese. Buono!

26/03/2024: O aperitivo de cogumelos estava saboroso e o prato de queijo / carne estava na quantidade certa com geléia de abóbora e ch vre quente em torradas - gostoso. A seleção de vinhos é boa e com preços razoáveis. O especial de porco com batata batida e molho de castanhas foi incrível! A vitela e o bife à portuguesa foram cozinhados na perfeição e com acompanhamentos perfeitos. A amêndoa com torta de ovo estava boa para lamber os dedos! O serviço foi pontual e com um sorriso - eles prestam atenção aos detalhes! Belo espaço com toques encantadores.

22/09/2024: Wir haben unsere Ferienwohnung auf der anderen Straßenseite und sind heute nach einem Spaziergang dort eingekehrt. Das Ambiente ist einfach, an der Straße gelegen, Plastiktüte draußen, recht ungemütliche zu helle Beleuchtung. Wir hatten als Vorspeise Brot, Butter, Sardinen-Pate und Oliven. Das Brot okay, Butter und Sardinen-Pate aus der Portionspackung..... wir erwarteten schlimmeres!! Die Oliven waren aber sehr lecker und gut eingelegt! Die helle Sangria war auch lecker, aber nicht spektakulär. Dafür war der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich!! Dann kam der Hauptgang. Für mich Sirloin vom Schwein mit Spiegelei, fritierten Kartoffelscheiben und Knoblauch - das Fleisch zart, die Kartoffeln knusprig, die Soße lecker. Für meine Frau Thunfischsteak mit Tomaten-Paprika-Soße, Kartoffeln und einem kleinen Salat. Der war frisch und lecker, die Kartoffel okay.... und der Thunfisch war unglaublich!!! Butterzart, außen knusprig, innen weich, frisch, die Soße unglaublich geschmackvoll - einfach ein Gedicht!!! Danach gab es noch einen Ginjinha (leckerer Sauerkisch-Likör) aufs Haus und dann die Rechnung. Gute 53 Euro waren für die Leistung und das super Essen absolut in Ordnung! Danke Servi-Vau!!! Wir kommen wieder!

04/11/2024: Had tried to get here last year but couldn’t get a table , so very happy we managed to get booked this year, unfortunately the weather was against us last Friday night , got there in a taxi as it was torrential rain, on arrival greeted by nice young couple who showed us to our table , once seated we could feel that there was a problem with water ingress onto our table but they tried their best to Mop it up , so onto the food . Starter was nice egg yolk with peas very tasty but only luke warm , my main of Lamb would have been sensational if agin was not luke warm, the problem is I think by the time the meals are traversed from kitchen to main dinning area the food cools down , more so on a terrible night weather wise, the wine pairing for us wasn’t as we would have expected and the price for the wine pairing was €35 per head , not worth it imo. Over all the windmill is a very one off place to experience but they need to up their game a bit regarding cold plates, and cost of wines if they want to get that top spot as the Dom Carlos did for many years our favourite place in Albuferia .

02/11/2024: We visited here last night. It was very heavy rain and when we arrived some water had got through on to our table. The waitress dried it up for us. The food presentation was superb. I had the scallop started and the duck main followed by two deserts which we shared. Hubby had the egg starter and lamb main. We opted for wine pairing but the main wine wasn’t to my taste so we swapped and both enjoyed each others. The service was good and food well prepared. Only slight criticism was some of the duck was perfect and other parts were a bit too rare and not that warm. However a beautiful setting and experience to cherish. Would i recommend? Absolutely.

20/08/2024: Já é há muitos anos o nosso restaurante de eleição quando vamos para a Oura. Comida muito bem confecionada e com os sabores algarvios. Ameijoas à bolhão pato maravilhosas e peixe sempre fresco. O atum é sempre uma escolha! Vamos lá quase todos os dias! A juntar a tudo isto temos a simpatia dos funcionários e da querida D. Paula! A voltar sempre! Recomendo vivamente!

24/09/2024: Pessoas fantásticas, simpáticas e bom astral. Notei organização e rapidez nos serviços. Boa esplanada , agradável ambiente, no entanto acho que a cozinha não deveria estar tão exposta a sala interior. Quantidades generosas e preço muito justo. Sucesso.

19/09/2024: Heerlijk eten. Groot aanbod aan gezonde slaatjes, bowls, .... Super vriendelijk personeel en leuke sfeer. Wij kwamen voor de lunch en zijn zo enthousiast dat het onze vaste lunchplek wordt. Ook open voor diner.

14/11/2024: Fabulous view down to the coast, but service was slow and black pork was served literally on its own with only a bowl of crisps as ‘vegetables’. We asked for an extra side salad, but there was barely enough for one; there were 7 of us. Very disappointing and not cheap either.

07/09/2024: The entire experience was awful. We were hiking the Rota Vicentina and staying at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we felt pressured. Did we want the tasting menu for £60 or go to the tapas bar or figure out how to get to another restaurant. We were exhausted-and made a reservation. The entire experience was horrible. We were rushed , the food wasn’t excellent, it wasn’t explained properly and it wasn’t an overwhelming Michelin experience It was overpriced as well. We had been to several restaurants along the hike which were outstanding! So this was an expensive experience we wouldn’t recommend!
