31/12/2024: Best new year’s eve I had lately! Very nice food, and reception. Nataly and Sus are the best hostesses!!

30/12/2024: One of our favourite restaurants and tonight was no exception. Lovely food and very friendly service.

24/10/2024: We had a good experience here many years ago and decided to try it again as a Madeiran Menu was on offer at a reasonable price. Our tomato soup with egg was so tasty and absolutely delicious, followed by scabbard fish with banana (didn't think the flavours would mix, but I was wrong) and then passionfruit ice cream which was handmade by the waiter (we were sat outside and we could view the process through the window). The waiter was a delightful, helpful young guy but I didn't get his name - well done anyway!

20/10/2024: Le restaurant reflète parfaitement sa devise : 'Le luxe, c'est de se faire plaisir avec des choses simples'. Chaque plat est préparé minute avec des produits frais, et la présentation dans une vaisselle soignée ajoute une touche élégante. Le personnel est d'une grande amabilité, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent, et la magnifique fresque en salle ajoute un charme unique à l'endroit. Pour couronner le tout, la terrasse offre une vue splendide sur les majestueux jacarandas aux teintes bleutées. Un endroit à découvrir sans hésitation !

30/01/2025: We got a free glass of sparkling wine. We had a vegetable risotto and a spinach ravioli, both were delicious and full of flavour. I also had a coconut dessert which was also really lovely, not too sweet or rich. Would recommend.

19/01/2025: Had been here before a couple of times when it was called Cris restaurant (before it changed owners) and really enjoyed it. However this visit will be the last. The service was ok but none of the food was good let alone outstanding. For example the goats cheese brûlée starter was like slightly curdled cheese with burnt sugar on top. Not some clever twist on a brûlée. All you could taste was sugar. The mains were average at best and neither of us finished a single course. Everything had too much salt or sugar, no balance to the food. For context I’d take an ordinary meal done well over something over worked and done badly. Simply not good food and very expensive.
