29/09/2024: The restaurant may look appealing to the passer-by but appearances in this case were totally deceptive. The quality of the food was bad enough, but the service was even worse. The man in charge was hostile, rude and insulting. From being seated to receiving our meals took over an hour, and it certainly wasn’t worth the wait. My choice of tuna had a strange soft and spongy consistency, and was bland and tasteless. My husband’s coated anchovies tasted as if they’d been fried in old cooking oil. When the waiter/owner asked how we’d enjoyed our meal we weren’t enthusiastic and he immediately became aggressive and bullying. At this point a couple at an adjacent table chose to enquire about their food, as they had apparently been waiting for over an hour. The waiter then turned on them, challenging their motive in chasing their order, and ranting about the ‘toxicity’ we had passed to their table. (In fact we had not spoken to them at all). He then proceeded to scribble a few figures on the paper tablecloth to tot up the cost of our lunch, which we duly paid. No card payments, no bills, a cash in hand transaction handily off the books. Should also just mention that a trip to the loo took me past the kitchen. The word Dickensian springs to mind. We certainly won’t be asking for more!

18/09/2024: Service: The owner of the restaurant is unfriendly and angry. His daughter also serves tables, speaks only Portuguese. She brought glasses, stuck her fingers in the glasses. She dropped one glass on my plate, the plate was broken. There was food on the plate, we paid for it anyway. The waitress (if you can call her that) swept the shards of the plate onto my lap and under our table with her nails and fingers. She did not even say “sorry”. We waited our order about an hour. Dirty dishes and empty bottles are not removed from the table. We had to put dirty plates on the floor until the waitress figured out how to clean them. The owner tried to write out a bill for us on a piece of newspaper, then started writing prices on a paper tablecloth right on our table. We asked for a normal bill according to the law, the owner said that a typical authentic bill is that piece of paper or on a tablecloth, and we do not want to enjoy the charm of Olhao traditions. We told the owner that we would never come again. The owner of this terrible restaurant replied that he very much hopes not to see us again. Food: Horrible! We ordered stingray. The pot contained 2 pieces of stingray, 5 whole potatoes, lots of raw garlic, lots of oil and even more vinegar - it was mostly vinegar in the pot. It's just dangerous to eat, you can burn your esophagus. It's all vinegar. We complained that it was impossible to eat. The owner started shouting, involving other people in our argument, we didn't feel safe. Fried sole fish - only bones, cat food. We didn't eat anything. The owner said that it was our problem, he liked it very much, he said that he ate our skate in vinegar which we refused to eat. Please be careful! Your health, mood and money are at risk in this restaurant. What a pity that such people run a business in the service and food sector. It will trample the image of beautiful Portugal, its wonderful cuisine, culture, beauty and kindness. We are very sad! We live in Portugal with our entire extended family. We have many friends who come to the Algarve for their holidays. Of course, we will do our best to tell everyone, including the guides and the Olhão city hall, about our unforgettable visit to this restaurant.

18/02/2024: Havia pouca diversidade e pouca quantidade. Não havia pizza, eram 14h do sábado, 18 de fevereiro de 24.

06/01/2024: Trata-se de uma estação de serviço numa autoestrada A22, Algarve. Nada de espectacular.

25/09/2023: Nós comemos aqui apesar dos comentários ruins. Chegou com pouca expectativa. O garçom chegou rapidamente conosco e anotou nosso pedido. O inglês dele não era perfeito, mas ainda assim conseguimos nos comunicar muito bem. Depois de trazer nossas bebidas, ele voltou e perguntou se queríamos limão ou gelo em nosso copo. Achamos isso muito amigável. Esperamos cerca de 25 minutos pela nossa comida. Minha lasanha estava deliciosa. Perfeitamente temperado com alho e especiarias. Agradavelmente surpreso. A pizza de salame do meu amigo tinha uma massa fina muito boa. Você poderia dizer imediatamente que era feito em casa. O queijo desenhou lindos fios. No geral, a noite foi ótima. No total pagamos pouco menos de 35€, o que foi totalmente bom do nosso ponto de vista. De qualquer forma, iremos lá novamente. Não entendemos os comentários ruins aqui. Claro que você não pode esperar comida 5 estrelas lá, mas pode esperar comida caseira deliciosa.

17/09/2023: A comida não é o que é anunciado - pizza ok, evite o resto - comida ruim e cara - salada é uma salada de tomate - salada César não tinha maionese, mostarda ou bacon

31/07/2024: Sítio muito agradável. Funcionária muito simpática e atendimento muito eficiente. Recomendo vivamente. Excelente!!!

19/07/2024: After a long flight with 4 kids we arrived at this restaurant at closing time. The kitchen was already closed. But the owner was so kind to reopen the kitchen for us. After pointing us some other restaurants further in the street that had burgers for the kids we decided to stay here for a ‘personal’ dinner. The owner kooked a wonderful diner for us, with delicious entrecote en the best salade. And the pate was very good too. A very good restaurant in a small garden terrace.
