10/11/2024: They don’t answer the phone to take bookings. They don’t reply to e mails. Can just turn up on the day and take pot luck. Not good enough You will appreciate our custom in the winter. Not that we will go there ever again. Feel totally let down.

04/11/2024: It’s always difficult when you go to a restaurant for the first time to know whether you have chosen a dish which is ‘representative’ of what the restaurant can do. Such is the dilemma with Izzy’s because the experience was exceptional but the food we chose was distinctly average. This bears explanation, so let’s start with the experience, which was really very good. The restaurant sits adjacent to the beach, it absorbs the laid back vibe you might expect from the natural surroundings. The pounding of waves is part of the soundtrack of the dining experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the beach bar feel is reflected in the furnishings and decor. On this mildly wet and dark November evening the place was also warm and cosy. The atmosphere is first class, and there is a comforting hubbub of conversation and laughter which seems to synchronise with the crashing of the waves. So, as I said, as an experience, really very good. We’ve eaten well on this holiday, so looking at the menu the selection of curries provided a welcome diversion from the fare offered by the fish restaurants in the area. However, these were not good curries. My wife ordered the chicken curry and I ordered the monkfish curry. The first inkling we had that maybe curries are not the ‘thing’ here is that the poppodums, which came with our meals were draped over the food…a great way to get the steam off the food to make your poppodums soggy. They were too, absolutely horrible. The curries came with plain rice, which was fine, but the curry sauce was bland, and like something you might get in a coronation chicken sandwich. The chicken and monkfish were themselves ok, but the curry sauce had not penetrated, making for rather a poor dish really. Credit where it is due though, the mango chutney tasted homemade, and is amongst the freshest and tastiest I have ever had…so not all bad then! So to pudding. Try the sorbet with vodka! Served with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime, this was a subtle and engaging way to finish the meal…so simple and yet very good. My wife had the chocolate ice cream which was also very good. So back to the original dilemma, the experience was great, and I am reluctant to overly criticise the food on the basis of what we chose, because maybe…just maybe, they do other food items on the menu much better.

24/02/2024: Adoramos a nova decoração, muito acolhedor e atencioso, tal como o nome diz, a melhoria tem vindo a ser contínua. Sendo uma família com menino de 2 anos, damos muito valor a atenção prestada ao nosso filho. A comida típica portuguesa estava maravilhosa e a um preço bastante competitivo. Com certeza uma experiência a repetir.

04/04/2024: Almoçamos lá na Páscoa. Uma delícia: paleta de cordeiro assada servida com vários acompanhamentos, um bom vinho, uma sobremesa leve e um atendimento muito atencioso. Existem muitas opções. O chefe fala francês. Eu recomendo este restaurante.

30/03/2024: Por sorte, estávamos estacionados bem na frente. A cozinha era generosa e de alta qualidade. O serviço é cuidadoso e os funcionários atenciosos. Se estiver de passagem fique curioso e passe pela entrada. Boas-vindas encantadoras em francês.🙂

28/08/2024: Misturam dois tipos de carne no prato. Pedimos picanha e vinha picanha e um corte com menos qualidade. Em 3 pratos diferentes. É uma coincidência estranha e de péssima imagem.

02/07/2024: Réservation facile, équipe souriante et efficace, salle de restaurant joliment décorée et confortable, plats copieux et très bons, desserts "maison", tarifs plus que corrects. Bravo. Nous reviendrons.

09/10/2024: Initially we hadn’t booked as just arrived a few hours earlier. Waitress made it clear we should book by her attitude and nearly walked out! Eventually found us a table and as night progressed she was really nice. I had beef stroganoff which was tender and great sauce very creamy as it should be. He had sea bass and it was cooked well. So all in all a pleasant evening.

05/10/2024: Absolutely beautiful food and our table was perfect to watch the sunset over the marina. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Prawns in garlic butter were amazing as were the steaks. One of best meals while in Vilamoura .

04/11/2024: The food was absolutely delicious, service was excellent & lovely, warm, friendly staff. Can’t wait to return to try out another wonderful dish.

05/10/2024: Ordered the supposed oven baked salmon which was shown as a piece of fillet on the photo on menu This was to be served with sauteed vegetables and pea risotto What arrived was a very bland looking cutlet of salmon, boiled carrot and broccoli with cheese drenched white risotto which had a few peas in it. When I mentioned this to the water was told we no longer serve the fillet and “fish was grilled in the oven” No attempt to resolve by a manager, we were charged full price, reputational risk was shrugged off as we paid the bill before even being offered dessert or coffee First and last time for sure!

11/07/2024: Ma 1ere expérience il y a quelques mois pas concluante du tout. Un loupé peut arriver, j'y suis retourné en Juillet, si j'avais oubliée pourquoi je n'y retournais plus, maintenant je sais !! Au bout de 15mn je suis allez déranger les serveur qui discutait entre eux, leurs demandant de bien vouloir prendre ma commande, ont ma répondu sèchement de m'autoriser de bien vouloir me laisser la prendre à table !!! La bonne blague. Ce fut fait, une 1/2 heures après ne voyant rien venir j'ai demandé à la serveuse qui passait où en était la commande, après renseignement un serveur qui semblait être un responsable nous à répondu qu'il y avait eu un problème avec notre commande, enfin environ 1h après nous avons été servies. Conclusion. . . Plus jamais !!

04/04/2024: Excelentes tapas e vinhos. Restaurante encantador, equipe encantadora, bom valor e a comida foi excelente. Ótimo para famílias também. Recomendo.

04/04/2024: Este é um local que serve a comida local certa em um ambiente local. A comida tem um sabor simplesmente perfeito e o serviço é rápido. O anfitrião fala bem inglês. Uma desvantagem, eles aceitam apenas dinheiro.

19/09/2024: Muy buen sitio para comerte un buen arroz de marisco en un restaurante local y siempre hasta los topes. Mejor reservar. Pedimos un arroz y una açorda de marisco ... y nos pasamos. Éramos 2 y salimos rodando de la inmensidad de los platos. Recomendamos un entrante y un plato para compartir.

25/08/2024: Local Fantástico um local onde vou voltar sempre que possível Entradas fantásticas , amêijoas , camarão da Costa e lingueirão Obrigatório comer arroz de lingueirão com linguado grelhado. Simplesmente Fantástico

19/09/2024: This cafe in Quateira is absolutely brilliant. It has a very wide choice of freshly created juices, smoothies, brunch choices and drinks - really healthy, imaginative, exceptionally fresh food. It's hard to find anything like this in this area. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm dairy and gluten intolerant, but there was masses of choice - they suggested a tapioca dish with egg, avo, asparagus, beetroot, and much more - delicious. All very clean, well-priced and in a quiet, central street.

26/08/2024: I've visited this place several times, and it has become my favourite spot in Querteria for breakfast and lunch. The açaí bowls are the best I've ever had, and the tapioca—especially the vegan option—is delicious. As someone with celiac disease, I appreciate that almost everything on the menu is gluten-free. The gluten-free pancakes are fantastic, and my friend absolutely loved the eggs Benedict she ordered. The croissants were another hit with my friend. The coffee and juices are consistently excellent, and the staff is always kind and welcoming. If you enjoy healthy, delicious, and affordable food with outstanding service, you should definitely add this place to your list. The beautiful terrace is just the cherry on top. 23/10/2024: Four of us ate at the restaurant. The atmosphere was great and all four of us agreed that the food was exceptionally good with its quality, presentation and taste. We will be back!

26/08/2024: Depois de 1 hora de espera na mesa preguntei se avia problema Com nossa mesa pk não fomos servidos , resposta muinto mal : Q o momento d Instalação avisarem q era 45 min d espera . 1 ninguém aviso 2 ja passarem mais de 70 minutos 3 a maneiras de falar p cliente Esta escrito na carts certo mostrarem depois mas como era rodízio não vimos a carta .

05/08/2024: This is a great restaurant if you have the appetite. We’ve had the Rodizio menu which is slices of meat on skewers and they just kept coming and coming. Amazing servers and great food. Good value for money.

17/10/2024: Went here after reading great reviews, we had steak on stone and Chicken Piri piri , both excellent, we enjoyed a complimentary starter and a good house wine, great staff! Good value for money, here another 3 weeks and we will return

09/10/2024: How we in the past missed out this Gem we can’t understand! Excellent Food and wines at very reasonable prices. The Management and Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. We went back a few days later!
