06/10/2024: Chrissy’s is our “Go To” restaurant. We have been on many occasions for both lunch and dinner and always enjoy the food as well as Pedro and his staff. Had dinner there 2 nights ago. It is a fixed price for 2 or 3 courses and includes the couvert, water and wine. We both had the “Specials” starting with excellent spicey prawns followed by filets of seabass and then (my weakness!) ice cream with hot chocolate sauce. House wine was a very drinkable red from Lisboa. The service is relaxed and friendly. Yes, we will be returning.

03/10/2024: Recommended to us. Well presented fabulous food. Great idea to have set prices for how many courses you want. Superb value. Lovely setting with attentive service. Glad we went and will definitely return.

01/11/2024: ¡Qué velada maravillosa! El ambiente, el servicio y la comida era absolutamente excepcional. ¡Mi marido dijo que era el mejor filete mignon que hemos tenido! Este íntimo restaurante familiar fue una decisión de última hora. Situado en una colina en la hermosa Carvoeiro, este restaurante es realmente una joya escondida. Todo el mundo era tan acogedor y tan interesado en asegurarse de que todo estaba a nuestra perfección. Fue realmente una noche memorable con la comida, la amabilidad y la hospitalidad. Desearía que lo probamos al principio de nuestro viaje en lugar de la última noche!

24/08/2024: L’abbiamo notato dalla lunga fila che si era creata passando per caso e abbiamo deciso di farci un salto. Mai scelta fu più saggia! La pasticceria offre una vastità di scelta fra dolce e salato non indifferente. Probabilmente il miglior pasteis de nata che ho mangiato in Portogallo, soffice ma allo stesso tempo la sfoglia era croccante con una crema densa ma saporita. Buono anche tutto il resto, prezzi super competivi, con 10 euro siamo usciti con un bel po di roba! Non è un posto da 10 ma merita le 5 stelle per tutte le caratteristiche nel complesso sopra citate!

01/11/2024: Had an early reservation timeslot due to young family. We were hosted wonderfully by the team and the food was AMAZING!! The kids had variations of spaghetti (carbonara and pasta with tomato sauce) and they didn’t talk until they’d eaten everything! We had the pork belly which was incredible. Desserts were also fantastic, will definitely return and highly recommend. 👏

26/10/2024: Not as high end food as we had anticipated but we enjoyed our meal. It was a lovely setting and had a tasteful decor. Attentive service and friendly staff. Didn’t have the taster menu as it was coming to the of the season which is understandable. .

05/09/2024: Ótimo jantar, foi tão bom que fomos duas vezes, no início e no final da viagem! Prós: . A qualidade da comida é incrível (pratos encomendados: Bife de Alcatra à Quirinus, Bife 5 Pimentos, Peixe do Dia, Tentáculo de Polvo à Lagareiro). . Super sobremesas, não deixe de experimentar o ananás caramelizado 🍍 . Coquetéis incríveis Contras: . Melhor reservar mesa porque fica lotado (fui lá no final de agosto / início de setembro). . À medida que ficam ocupados, o serviço pode ser lento. No geral, este restaurante é um lugar que você deve experimentar!

07/11/2024: I would have given this restaurant higher than 5 if possible. Very small Italian family restaurant with a charming decor and very good staff. My wife had a gluten free pasta dish and I had one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Pizza perfection. I highly recommend.

12/09/2024: This place is excellent. The staff Nicole, Pedro, Tiago and Ana are all fabulous. From the restaurant you can see the kitchen staff working hard. The front of house staff are professional and attentive. The food is really good, we enjoyed Pizza, Pasta, house wine and beer. would totally recommend going here. `The restaurant was full when we first tried to eat there. we booked for next night, enjoyed it so much we booked again before we left. great place

05/10/2024: So, just to be clear, I'll state this up front; hands down, the best fish I have ever eaten in an Algarvian restaurant. Ever. So much so, I went back the following night and did it all again. The restaurant is owned by the Portuguese chef and his English wife. This is a chef who really knows what he's doing and buys fresh from the fish market in nearby Portimão daily. Fish is sold by the kilo and each plate is accompanied by vegetables or salad. However, it does mean that one fish is often too much for one person so if you want to experience the best fish, it might be wise to agree on which fish you'd agree to share as he'll only cook a whole fish, not half of one as that could compromise the natural flavours. I was solo, so the only complete fish I could have was Linguado (lemon sole) but I am glad I did because I'd never tasted fish so good. An indication of price by the kilo is Sea Bass and Sea Bream around €55 per kilo and Lemon Sole at €65 per kilo. My fish weighed in at €35 and that was more than enough for one person. I also had home-made vegetable soup to start and an Algarvian delicacy, Carob, Almond and Fig tart to finish, along with a medronho and a expresso coffee. To accompany the fish I had a couple of glasses of the restaurant's own-label house white wine. The bill came to €71 which, considering the outstanding fare, I thought was reasonable. Service is polite and friendly but not in-your-face, which is thoughtful. One thing I noticed was how quickly the restaurant filled up after evening opening - and stayed full almost the whole night. The head waiter was turning away people without a booking and from what I saw over two consecutive nights, booking in advance is essential. It's not a big place; it'll seat around 30 people max. I've raved on about fish here, but meat and vegetarian dishes are also available and they also have a lunch menu. The only problem you could possibly have with this restaurant is being able to get an evening reservation for exactly when you want it.

03/10/2024: For my husband and I this is one of the best restaurants in Ferragudo. We try and visit at least twice during our holiday to Ferragudo, our 8th time. They have a good varied menu, but we like the section where they bring you the very fresh fish on a platter to choose from, Seabsss, Bream, Snapper, Turbot etc. they weigh your choice of fish and tell you the cost, if you are happy with that then it is bbq grilled to perfection. It is truly delicious. They also have a good dessert selection too. Great service and very friendly. You have got to go there 5*

27/10/2024: Adorámos o parque aquático . Um espaço muito divertido para as crianças e adultos também. Recomendamos muito para famílias para que possam descontrair um pouco enquanto as crianças se divertem. A animadora Jennifer Santos foi sempre muito simpática. 5 estrelas ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

06/11/2024: Vivimos en Carvoeiro hace 3 años y nunca hemos estado en este restaurante, así que decidimos probarlo. No nos decepcionó la comida era preciosa y había un gran ambiente, incluso la música era buena.

27/09/2024: During our recent stay at Pestana Palm Gardens, my family and I had the pleasure of often dining at Sal&Tal, and it was truly a delightful experience. The cuisine was outstanding; I highly recommend trying the octopus dish—it's absolutely divine! The risotto and another dishes were equally wonderful, bursting with flavour and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Additionally, the staff were incredibly polite and attentive, adding to the overall charm of the evening. I can’t recommend Sal&Tal enough for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

04/09/2024: Desde o pequeno-almoço fantástico, as bebidas e os snacks à hora de almoço deliciosos e depois ao final do dia, um jantar com muito requinte e um sabor divinal, toda esta experiência só ficou ainda melhor com a simpatia e boa disposição dos empregados. A experiencia foi excelente e se mais alguma vez ficar neste hotel, este restaurante é paragem obrigatória.

12/10/2024: Direkt am ersten Tag kamen wir bei KULINARIUM vorbei, hungrig von der Reise und auf der Suche nach einem richtig netten Restaurant … keine Chance: alles bereits reserviert, und für uns kein Platz mehr! Also haben wir sofort für einen anderen Tag einen Tisch reserviert - und nach dem ersten Besuch gleich eine zweite Reservierung gemacht! Das sagt eigentlich alles, wenn man nur eine Woche am Ort ist. Vieles in Carvoeiro schien uns zu trubelig und zu touristisch, und KULINARIUM entsprach rundherum unseren Vorstellungen! Das Essen war einfach perfekt! Fürs Auge ebenso wie geschmacklich! Eine so sommerliche Ente habe ich noch nie gegessen, deshalb beim zweiten Besuch nochmal. Mein Mann wechselte und war vom etwas anderen César Salad hin und weg. Dank an Küchenchef René Busse. Der Service kompetent, freundlich und absolut hilfsbereit angesichts unserer Sonderwünsche wegen Lactoseintoleranz! Dank an Martin und Annett Busse und an Tochter Beatrice. Die Weinkarte mit regionalem, kleinem und sehr ausgewähltem Angebot. Einrichtung und Dekoration stylisch und hochwertig (hell und luftig passend zur Lage am Meer, und zugleich alles andere als in einem Badeort zu vermuten). Und Preis-Leistung: absolut phänomenal!!! Wenn Carvoeiro nicht so weit weg wäre, kämen wir mit Freude öfter! Ein bisschen sehnsüchtig bleibt uns also nur, dieses familiengeführte KULINARIUM aus vollster Überzeugung gerne weiterzuempfehlen!!!

04/10/2024: The waitress could win first prize for rudeness There were only 3 people having lunch and we waited for more than 45 minutes to get the food. The food was very average, tasteless fish in a huge amount of batter.
