20/11/2024: Entrada de choco frito bom e de salada de polvo sem sabor.Excelente cataplana de marisco, dourada grelhada muito fresca,frango piri-piri sem sabor e apenas com 1 coxa e 1 asa partidas aos bocadinhos, bom vinho da casa.Relaçao qualidade preço boa apenas na cataplana, o preço do peixe de mar para grelhar uma fortuna ..... Empregados de mesa simpáticos e atenciosos.

30/10/2023: Ótima comida sempre. Opto sempre pelo menu a dois que inclui uma ótima sopa, primeiro prato e segundo prato mais sobremesa por 50€. Sempre fresco com ótimo serviço. O facto de a comida ser óptima durante vários anos é perfeito porque nunca desilude. Recomendo totalmente Sen Tonkin.

16/07/2024: Llegamos al restaurante poco antes de las diez para cenar. El porche estaba lleno de mesas con familias cenando. No nos dijeron nada de que la hora del cierre era a las 10:00, en ese caso no nos hubiéramos quedado. Las mesas se fueron vaciando y de repente, aún con comida en los platos y cenando,nos preguntaron varias veces si habíamos terminado para retirar todos los platos. Nos echaron literalmente. Nos vimos obligados a levantarnos ante la presión de los camareros. Eran las 10:30 de la noche. Aconsejamos que no vayan, pero si lo hacen no pidan una botella grande de agua. Llega abierta a la mesa y te cobran 4'80€.

15/09/2024: Back to Hemingways for a drink and a break from the sun. Good, friendly service. A very welcome cold drink. Busy and occasionally noisy with Arsenal/Spurs on the tv.well worth a visit

31/08/2024: Friendly bar, visited 4-5 times during my stay in Carvoeiro. Good drinks and snacks served with a smile at a very resonable price.

26/10/2024: Wonderful dining experience. Attentive but not intrusive staff. Excellent service. Truly amazing food. The spaghetti vongole was superb as was the stone bream. Tiramisu portion would do two. Their after dinner brandy, which you have to tell them to stop pouring for €5, they came back with a second and did not put it on the bill. So good we booked again for the last night if the holiday.

16/09/2024: Visited for a light lunch & were very impressed. Outside seating area next the busy paved area at the back of the beach so lots to watch. We ordered the fish of the day & a prawn salad. Food was faultless & very reasonable Rosé by the glass too. Staff were attentive & helpful. Definitely worth a try.

15/09/2024: We visited this week and were really impressed. We hadn't made a reservation as we'd looked at several other local options, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate. We had a lovely table outside overlooking the square. The service was prompt and everyone was really friendly. I had the Elliotti Pasta which was fantastic, an absolutely beautiful dish consisting of pepperoni, onions and mushrooms in a tomato and red wine sauce - with my choice of pasta! Definitely recommend this restaurant to all.

02/10/2023: O cardápio é limitado, mas o que eles fazem é muito delicioso. Pedimos salada de cabra e uma pizza margherita. A salada é muito saborosa e de bom tamanho e a pizza é de massa bem fininha e ingredientes de qualidade. O bar não é muito grande e não há muitas mesas, embora não estivesse cheio e ficasse na praia.

23/10/2023: A comida era boa, mas não ótima. Preços muito bons. Vinho e sobremesa ótimos! O garçom talvez esteja um pouco ansioso (para vender?), Mas nunca me perguntou se estava tudo bem durante a refeição - e eu estava sozinho no restaurante. O bacalhau estava morno quando o comprei, mas estava ok.

17/10/2023: Belo cenário, numa falésia com vista para o oceano. Atmosfera encantadora, com um músico ao vivo tocando principalmente jazz e soul. A comida foi um pouco imprevisível, compartilhamos os molhos Hummus e Muhammara para começar, e eles eram muito bons. Meu marido comeu o polvo principal, que também estava delicioso, eu comi berinjela com alho-poró e cebolinha ao molho de soja. A berinjela estava deliciosa, mas o alho-poró e a cebolinha estavam estranhos. Acho que o alho-poró já havia passado do seu auge e estava muito duro, com textura de palha, e como eram em tiras compridas, eram impossíveis de cortar ou mastigar, então pareciam uma guarnição não comestível. Mencionei isso ao garçom e ele não poderia ter se importado menos - encolheu os ombros.

23/09/2024: Between the tiny portions, average taste and bad service I would avoid at all costs. I needed to change my child’s nappy, I was told I can’t use the bathrooms and had to change her on a sunlounger in view of other guests. Not appropriate The only good thing was the wonderful singer!

17/09/2024: Food is amazing service shocking. No check back on food not asked if we wanted more drinks but very quick to ask for payment when we asked for the bill. Felt like they couldn't wait for us to go even though plenty of empty tables wasn't late we left at 8.30. Shocking service = no tip.

09/10/2024: Great location overlooking Praia Grande beach. Booked a table on the front of the terrace. Prompt service; drinks served quickly (a beer, water and half bottle of vino verde) and meal order taken. Started with bread, olives and sardine and tuna spread. Both went for the sea bream with chips/ boiled potatoes and salad. Whole butterflied fish with good serving of salad and potatoes. Shared a dessert and had coffees. Good service, good food and a lovely sea view all for €72

07/10/2024: Restaurant with a wonderful view, terrible food and poor service. We had a tasteless vegetable soup and tuna salad. The latter had oily dark looking tinned tuna, old lettuce leaves and loads of potatoes to baulk out the salad. Despite not eating the latter they did not offer to replace and refused any refund. Very unfriendly. Such a mistake as such better options on this beach. Thought it would make a change. Cheap as chips but should have had chips instead!!
