Sao Miguel Grandes Cantorias em Lisboa

DONT BELIEVE OTHER REVIEWS We stumbled on this eatery while walking in Alfama in Lisbon. The owner allowed us to sit in the restaurant while we relaxed and studied the menu. We made reservations easily on the paper list outside the restaurant. Our visit was for 7 pm and we were seated promptly and relaxed while the restaurant filled up with customers. A large group of visitors arrived later. I had the bream and my wife and sister enjoyed the salmon with potatoes and carrots. All the food was delicious and promptly served by the wonderful staff Diana despite the large group present. The meal was briefly interrupted by several sessions of Fado music. I’m not an expert but they were enthusiastic and delightful to listen to. We paid about 87 euros for three large entrees, two glasses of wine, dessert and appetizers. This was for my wife’s birthday and she truly enjoyed the evening. We sadly had to leave at 11 pm with the restaurant still humming. I am an experienced trip advisor reviewer and do NOT agree with previous reviews. Perhaps they hit an off night but our group was extremely satisfied.

Hemos comido unos menús muy bien conseguidos, con platos muy bien presentados. La atención del personal es muy agradable y atenta. El lugar es muy acogedor. El precio fué muy bueno.
