Salada De Frutas em Lisboa

This small neighbourhood restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge of our hotel nearby and I don't think I would have gone there spontaneously as the entrance is small and you only see a few steps down into a very basic bar area. However, they offer great traditional Portuguese homestyle cooking, especially fresh seafood. It appears to be a mom-and-pop kind of situation, with the husband serving and the wife cooking. Ideally, you understand and speak some Portuguese because the owner's English is quite basic, but he is very friendly and tries to communicate. It was the best lunch we had during our stay and was so entirely unexpected.
