Restaurante o Tavares em Sintra

Tuck off the beaten track where locals go for a good meal. Our lunch was very good with a relaxed pace. Worth taking the effort to locate it.

This wonderful restaurant was very happy to seat 8 Canadians. This was not an easy group to accommodate, but they were so happy to take the time to explain the menu and show us the wonderful fresh fish they were happy to grill for us. I can’t say enough about the experience we were lucky to be apart of. Their passion comes through in their food and their communication. My only regret is that we can’t return soon. This was truly the best meal we have experienced in Portugal. Their Sea Bream, Turbot, Veal, and steak will be talked about for a very long time! Thank you O Taveres!!
