The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. However, the service was not great! In our area there was only one server who was run off his feet whilst several others were standing around chatting. Our empty plates were not cleared away for quite a long time and it took more time before we were able to order dessert. We could have finished our meal much earlier and the other guests who were waiting could have been seated. Not really efficient for a restaurant of that standard.

Choose the outdoor tables in the quasi-park between the two streets. Service was prompt, prices were good. We all ordered various treatments of cod – the national dish of Portugal – and were disappointed. Not with the chef or the presentation, rather that salted cod from Denmark and Iceland is the national dish. You should try Bacalhau once (and only once) in Portugal and wonder why, with over 1,000 miles of coastline, the Portuguese like this dish.

08/11/2024: Fomos jantar 2 casais no dia 7 de Novembro. Foi uma desilusão parcial, vejamos: 1 - Empregados simpáticos e eficientes 2 - Muito barulhento.Estava cheio 3 - Entradas: - Peixinhos da horta - Muito bons - Pézinhos de coentrada - Muito salgados - Pastéis de massa tenra - Muito bons 4 - Pratos principais: - Empada de pato com salada - Muito bom, especialmente a salada - Galinha de cabidela - Muito mau 5 - Sobremesa: Mousse de chocolate - Como sempre muito boa
26/09/2024: Ehemals befand sich das "alte" Pap´Acorda im Viertel Bairro Alto. Die neuen Räumlichkeiten sind viel größer und moderner im 1. Obergeschoss des Mercado de Ribeira (Time Out Market). Es gibt herrliche Öffnungszeiten für uns, die gerne am Nachmittag essen. An diesem Spätnachmittag sind wir noch die einzigsten Gäste, fühlen uns aber definitiv nicht unwohl, denn die liebenswerten Servicekräfte kümmern sich wundervoll um uns. Im alten Lokal habe ich das erste Mal den Brotbrei Acorda gegessen und war gleich hellauf begeistert. Also nochmal in der royalen Version mit Hummerfleisch und Garnelen. Dazu etwas PiriPiri. Nicht billig aber köstlich. Auch der empfohlene Wein mundet sehr und allmählich trudeln andere Gäste ein.

27/09/2024: Fresh seafood at a decent price. Large portions and very well prepared. Tables were filled when nearby competition were not, tells the story. Good service and a varied offering made this one of my better choices.
19/07/2024: Delicious dishes, wide variety of choices from typical Portugese cuisine. We have tried there great catalpa and seafood rice, also grilled fishes and desserts after dinner were great. Recommend to go there, close to Restauradores and Rossio
