Restaurante do hotel, esplanada com vistas muito frescas, boa comida mas a um preço algo elevado e amplo estacionamento.

Fui almoçar ontem a este restaurante. A vista da varanda é lindíssima e a comida muito boa! Daríamos uma avaliação de 5 estrelas, se não tivesse sido o facto de hoje ter confirmado a conta e o valor que paguei e reparei que cobraram uma taxa de 10% de gratificação que em nenhum momento me foi mencionada. Desiludiu pela falta de transparência tendo em conta que ainda deixei uma gorjeta adicional!

Parece um restaurante que já foi o endereço principal anos atrás e que infelizmente não envelheceu bem. A comida tem um sabor insípido e o serviço carece de espírito. É simplesmente um restaurante para turismo de massa. Não fará mal a ninguém, mas pode economizar dinheiro. Há um terraço com uma bela vista, mas talvez um copo de poncha e depois seja suficiente.

Num cenário lindo, a comida é muito boa, com diversas opções para vegetarianos, e o atendimento acolhedor e profissional.

Também estávamos em turnê com um grupo maior (país e pessoas), a refeição com 3 pratos, água e vinho foi pré-encomendada. Achei a comida excelente, os funcionários do serviço foram todos muito rápidos, corteses e muito simpáticos. Após a excelente refeição, pôde-se admirar a bela vista com uma paisagem deslumbrante. Não consigo entender alguns dos comentários ruins!

Came here for my birthday lunch with my husband. We made reservations for 12 when they opened, and we were the first and only table for about 1 hour (early February). So it was nice to have the place to ourselves! We sat outside, BEAUTIFUL view! There is ample parking and the restaurant had plenty of seating, but I imagine this place gets quite full - so make a reservation in advance. Amazing service! Food was good and beautifully presented, but I didn't think it was amazing. I stared with the tomato/onion soup which was flavorful and had a LOT of onions in it. My husband got the pumpkin soup, which we both thought needed more flavor. I eat mostly plant-based, so I got the vegetarian skewer (which I expected to be vegetables, but it was actually a vegan meat substitute - I probably could have asked what it was but I didn't think to based on the menu listing). My husband got the Portuguese style chicken with potatoes and vegetables. He said the chicken was very good but under-seasoned and thought the gravy was as well. We finished with a 15 year Madeira wine which was amazing! We have pretty small appetites so we skipped a started and dessert. I think what they say is true that the better the view, the food doesn't have to be as impressive, and that was my experience here. It was still well worth it and the grounds were just beautiful. I probably wouldn't come back to it, but think it is worth visiting at least once if you are in Madeira. Plenty of parking and there are some other dining options in this area - pizza and something else we saw. Would give those a try. You can also just walk to the view point here if you want to park and see but skip the restaurant.

Very good food. I ordered the vegetarian options. We stayed at the hotel so it was very convenient. Ambiance was lovely with a fire place. Only critique was that the servers did not know what exactly the meals consisted of. Our server had to ask someone multiple times and it the end got my dessert wrong.
