Quebra o Galho em Coimbra

I can’t speak about its food, but I can state that it's a great place to see a Fado performance. I wanted to see a Fado show while in Portugal, but the shows in Lisbon are expensive and typically a dinner-show scene (which didn’t appeal to me). I stumbled into this place for a late-afternoon caffeine pick-me-up after a day of exploring Coimbra, and found out about the Fado performance slated to begin that night at 9:30 for a VERY fair price of 10 euros. I reserved my small table at this small establishment, and when I came back later that night the table was waiting for me. I throughly enjoyed the Fado performance, which lasted 1.5 hours (with breaks) and which struck me as heartfelt and touching.

Delicious and generous pour of wine, super yummy bread with olive oil and oregano, and even with our billion questions about the area the staff never seemed bothered, but rather excited to teach tourists about Coimbra. Amazing service and very kind people. We want to give a special thank you to Solange for making this experience a 10/10
