We had a wonderful meal here during our 2 days in Machino and ended up being one of the best of our 9 days in Maderia.
It was the first time we'd tried the Maderian speciality of bolo do caco and it was the best we had.
Their regional meat skewers were also the best of our whole trip. We tried both again on numerouos occasions but none were quite as good as this restaurant. All dishes looked excellent and it was very popular but they were very acoodating and quickly made up a table for 10 of us.
Ate dinner here both nights I spent in Machico; tasty food! Servings are generous and sides are fun to share amongst friends! I had the Scabbard with Passionfruit and Banana - it was lovely. Everyone I visited with appeared to appreciate their meals mainly fish; as well as those who were eating vegan and gluten free. The second night, I forgot my hat and one of their team members found it quickly enough to find us as we walked away from the restaurant to ensure I did not lose it!
29/06/2024: Lokaal visrestaurant met veel Portugese bezoekers. Lekker stuk tonijn gegeten: goed gegrild en meer dan voldoende.
De gegrilde mosselen als voorgerecht waren lekker, met veel knoflook, maar iets taai.
Witte wijn niet bijzonder: huiswijn is gemengd met bronwater: wel lekker vrij, maar matig.
