Our last dinner in Lisbon on a Sunday... Having tried in vain to get a table in one of the small tabernas we had visited before we remembered the seafood stalls inside the TimeOut Market. We ended up on the busy outside terrace of the Marisqueira Azul - obviously no Portuguese customers but tourists from all parts of the world... Tourist trap or not? We were not quite sure. Yet, the seafood looked tempting and we decided to stay. The waiting time was acceptable and the tiger prawns and clams were tasty. Along with a bottle of vinho verde and some (more average) dessert we had a nice meal in an admittedly very touristy ambiance...

Great service (best outside rather than in the market!). Terrifically fresh seafood and the best baby clams I have ever eaten. All served with a smile. If you want great seafood, come here!

05/11/2024: Starters are sat on a table for how long I don’t know, but they come on a tray and offered to the table. Mains are tasty, but the two fish dishes we had were served on the bone, including monkfish Cataplana, which was difficult to eat, tasty but the bones just made it too much of an effort.
19/08/2024: Location molto carina in un patio con pergolato in una piazzetta di Alfama. Personale cortese e preciso. Ottimo il maiale all'alentejana, abbiamo preso anche una tagliata di carne e del polipo. Dolci eccezionali. Prezzo nella media. Consiglio vivamente.
