10/03/2023: HANDS DOWN THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE CITY. This is not just my favorite restaurant in Lisbon, but the entire world. Amazing, creative modern Portuguese cuisine with Japanese touch. Every food was HIT. Thank you all for those warm welcomes and kindness.
09/03/2023: highly recommending this restaurant.
this is nothing like i have ever experienced. cut short: amazing service, impeccable food, very calming and cozy atmosphere. feels like coming home in a foreign country. be advised to reserve a table tho.
now for whoever wants a more detailed version:
we visited two days in a row. the first evening was a lucky shot, we got a table without reserving first, and we were so amazed that we instantly reserved for the next day. we ate our way through almost the whole menu, trying as many different dishes as we could. and trust me, it was worth it.
i can say, this is truly a life changing experience. starting with the ambience. everything about this cute little restaurant is relaxing, even the music. the outside emits a warm feeling, the interior feels a bit rustic, somewhat industrial in a few niches. also, they have sliding doors here. so even just the raw sight of this place is truly unique.
the waiter - my god, i have never met someone who is simultaneously a ray of sunshine and a calming wind rustling leaves in the forest. sorry if i am getting a bit extravagant with this. xD
not only is he incredibly friendly, he does everything he can to make you feel welcome, adjusting his service to your behaviour. it's fascinating to see and experience, really.
and the food - i am repeating myself, but it is truly a life changing experience. every single dish on the menu is thought-trough, so incredibly calculated in it's various fragments of taste and yet something you can never even begin to describe. rationally, it is - mainly - a fusion of portuguese an asian kitchen, but each dish with a little twist and personality added to it. you can really taste the love in this food.
and to the team:
please, never stop creating art with your cooking. you make a stay in lisbon really unforgettable. every one of you contributes to this little nook being a magical escape. and i am not joking when i say i see myself visiting portugal again, just for this restaurant.
thank you. so, so much.
lots of love from germany,
