Largo do Carmo 1 em Lisboa

Great little reasonably priced restaurant in a lovely square in Chiado. Excellent service from friendly and attentive waiters whether you eat inside or out. We actually had our first meal there and returned for our last of a week’s vacation in Lisbon. To accompany the cover breads, olives and pate we had a flamed chorizo which was super for theatre and taste!My main course of the pig’s cheeks and truffled mash was beautifully cooked. and as our last meal before flying home we both had the Carmo burger which we’d noticed another couple had ordered on our first visit. They were superb! Like the Porto special sandwich dish Francheshina the burger comes with every extra thinkable topped off with a fried egg! My medium rare and my wife’s well done were both spot on! We loved the vibe in the square and the food was ample and delicious. Our waiter helpfully asked if we had booked through The Fork app which promted my signing up for a useful discount! The Douro and Vino Verde were fine and all in all this place delivered exactly what we wanted… A real taste of Lisbon!
