Abrigo do Pastor Restaurant

06/01/2025: Very unique place where locals and tourists mingle. Rustic and decorated with old ancient farming apparatus and animal heads of trophy. Extensive and unique menu including deer, rabbit, suckling pig etc. all meals were huge but so well cooked and nicely presented. My only little complaint would be the egg in the tomato soup was hard and a little over cooked. Otherwise a terrific experience and lovely meal served by efficient waiting staff.

Restaurante "O Professor"

13/11/2024: We took the 20 minute bus ride to Santa Cruz to go to the market. The bus was 2.5 euros and is on the coastal road, so it has beautiful views. The village was extremely quiet and we decided to sit and have some lunch. We ordered fresh sardines, bolo do caco (traditional garlic bread), a coffee and a beer. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and the food was really good. Again, it seemed popular with the locals. We sat outside in the square which is beautiful. We would definitely recommend visiting this village and this restaurant.
21/10/2024: Tres bonne surprise. Nous avons goûté la spécialité locale! Espada con banana. Super bon, pas cher 15€ avec un verre de vin. Bon service, je recommande
