Everything from start to finish was excellent. We just happened to walk by and the menu looked inviting. The staff were more than friendly and so welcoming. We chose from the different varieties of paella and started with cod cakes. Our waiter, Opal(might be spelling it wrong) was enthusiastic and made my daughter’s birthday special. We would definitely recommend and come back! One of the best meals we had in Lisbon.

24/09/2024: Fuimos aquí dos veces en una visita de cuatro días que le dice cuánto disfrutamos de nuestro tiempo allí! Ambiente relajado y acogedor, excelente comida (disfrutamos especialmente de la ensalada de pulpo que era una recomendación especial y no algo que ninguno de nosotros había probado antes) y deliciosos vinos locales.

Restaurante Laurentina o Rei do Bacalhau

06/10/2024: The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. However, the service was not great! In our area there was only one server who was run off his feet whilst several others were standing around chatting. Our empty plates were not cleared away for quite a long time and it took more time before we were able to order dessert. We could have finished our meal much earlier and the other guests who were waiting could have been seated. Not really efficient for a restaurant of that standard.
30/09/2024: Choose the outdoor tables in the quasi-park between the two streets. Service was prompt, prices were good. We all ordered various treatments of cod – the national dish of Portugal – and were disappointed. Not with the chef or the presentation, rather that salted cod from Denmark and Iceland is the national dish. You should try Bacalhau once (and only once) in Portugal and wonder why, with over 1,000 miles of coastline, the Portuguese like this dish.
