Byf Steakhouse em Lisboa

20/10/2024: Extremely good steak which is what this restaurant specialises in with the claim that all steak is imported from Argentina. We visited on a Monday evening which was still a popular time. We selected a sharing plate of smoked fish comprising of 10 small slices of toast to eat with a mixture of smoked tuna, mackerel, trout and cod with home made pickles for 24 Euros. But the main event was the steak fillet mignon, thick sliced and flambeid with Port served on a bed of mashed potato alongside asparagus on a dark sauce. My steak was cooked medium and was excellent but the part I raved about was the mashed potato which was very soft. Compliments to the chef! This came in at 28 Euros. Our accompaniment was a bottle of "Piano" tinto Douro reserva D.O.C. 2021 (red) which was very good as you might imagine.

20/09/2024: This cafe is on a steep stepped street. We really enjoyed our meal there. The waitress was friendly and helpful throughout. We enjoyed our sardine starter and shared a half Argentinian steak each. These came with the delicious thinly sliced fried potatoes. We shared a home-made tiramisu which was lovely. The bottle of wine was great too. It's cash only at this restaurant.
