Barra Cascabel em Lisboa

19/04/2025: Visited this place during a city break having never been before. We didn’t pre book but managed to get a table with a slight wait but nothing major. As a coeliac, it’s hard to find gluten free places but this place had gluten free items clearly labelled on the menu. We were given corn tortilla chips with a chipotle mayonnaise dip which was gluten free as a little snack to start. I ordered three vegetarian corn tacos which came with guacamole, all were delicious. The rest of the party had wheat pulled pork tortillas and chilli beef nachos, neither were gluten free but they both really enjoyed their dishes. Cool place which also had live music.

11/02/2025: Mex Factory was recommended to us by a friend as was a visit to LX Factory. We were not disappointed. We were pleasantly greeted and seated in a clean, bright room. We started with a drink (sparkling water and a beer). The beer selection was limited but ok. My wife and I shared a chicken Burrito and shrimp Tacos. Both portion sizes were more than expected and we did not have room for desert. The total bill came to €30 which we thought was very reasonable. A tip of 5% was suggested but not required and we were happy to have it added on as service was excellent. Would recommend a visit to Mex Factory and LX Factory while in Lisboa.
