Bar do Binho em Sintra

The sign claims this store/wine bar has the largest collection of Ports in the world and it looks like that is absolutely true. Walls of Ports of all types, with some dating back to the 19th century. Several tasting options are available. I began by talking about Ports with the owner, who generously offered me two tastes of fine tawny Ports, one of which he had made. Both were excellent.

This is a great place to get a drink after a long day of touring. I liked the liqueors and had all three, the Ginja, Custard Tart and Beirão in 1 sitting. Really good and they are served in chocolate tiny cups. Nice kick to the jaw on a hot day!
