Armaha Restaurante em Lisboa

The food & drinks at this restaurant are tasty, but what really sets it apart is the service from the owners. They didn't have mint for my drink & so the young son was duly despatched (late at night) on his child's bike to go & purchase some, rather then telling me it wasn't available (I only realised that's where he had gone when he returned with the mint). One of our party didn't like their food, which was entirely down to personal taste rather than a reflection of the food itself. When collecting the.plates it was noted that their food had barely been touched & when we explained why, they offered to adjust it to the person's taste & package it for them to take away (which we politely declined). Upon paying the bill they insisted on discounting it because that member of our party hadn't enjoyed their food. We insisted that we wanted to pay in full because there had been nothing wrong with the meal itself, but they said that they wanted everyone to enjoy their meal there & that as hosts they could not in good conscience charge us in full if everyone had not been satisfied. We continued to argue that the discount was not necessary, but they said it was a matter of personal pride. We felt truly humbled by this & feel that that level of service is why this business is to be recommended over others. It was out last night in Lisbon when we ate there, but had it not been we would have returned just to support a business that cares so deeply about their customers

We have been coming to Armaha when we are in Lisbon for the last couple of years and cannot recommend it enough. The owners are the nicest, friendliest people you will meet and they always make us feel welcome. Very reasonably priced, good location and the BEST Pica Pou you will find!
