A Despensa em Cascais

06/09/2024: All you need to see is the line out the door to know this is one special place. Forget the fact that it is inexpensive…it would be worth it at three times the price. The chicken is absolutely delicious. Accompanied by French fries perfectly done and a tomato and onion salad, you will be very happy with your meal and itching to return. I have been in Cascais for two weeks and am about to visit this restaurant for the third time-coincidently my last night in Cascais. DON’T MISS THIS RESTAURANT!

26/08/2024: Very good Frango, delicious and well cooked. Very popular with tourists and locals alike and get there just before 7pm to keep queuing to a minimum. Chicken, chips (less good, slightly cold and floppy), tomato and onion salad, glass of wine and small bottle of water for 13 euros 50. However beware had I wanted the bread, cheese, butter and salami out on the table it would have cost me an additional 8 euros. I was charged for this but mentioned it to the waiter who removed it from the bill!
